View Full Version : Bass and Amp Recommendations

Right, so I want a new bass. I'm currently playing a Dead Edge 1 and a Vintage Fretless bass, on an awful little amp. I can't decide what bass to get though. I don't really want to spend any more than £400. The less I spend the better since I need a new amp too. So any recommendations would be much obliged. :thumb:

I'm liking the look of this as they're the sort of style I really like. Plus they're an awesome make.

I don't know much about amps, so if anyone can recommend something good that isn't overly expensive I'd love you forever. I've looking for something suitable for a house, as well as something suitable for practicing with my "band" he's a loud drummer so I need to be able to be heard.

Only 65 Watts, but it should be loud enough, since my current amp is about 30 watts... and is a piece of shit.

I actually just placed an order for a new amp. It's a Behringer BXL900A Ultrabass amp. It's 90 watts, so it should be plenty loud enough. It's got good reviews so that will have to do.

Louder is always better, but to go louder I need more money. :(

Not a bass player but I have played with many different dudes. My favorite - Fender jazzman.

I love my bass amp. It's an SRW 100W. It has a great clean sound and also sounds great if you like to run your bass through effects.
