Sounds like your standard slasher to me. They only thing they can do to make up for it would be to slap it with a hard R and have plenty of gory deaths.

thats pretty much how I feel. A lot of people act like casting has just recently gotten bad in slasher flicks. Majority of characters in slasher flicks have been morons since the sub genre got started.

Alittle off topic here, but I just picked up the new one shot comic Friday the 13th: the Abuser and the Abused. The cover art is very VERY missleading but I personally really dug the art in the comic. It being a one shot it went by pretty quickly, but the art is one made this one great I think. It was sort of like the old tales from the crypt comics in a way. And you remember back in day, especially in the news paper comics, when you could see the dots in the coloring of the comics. This one is done that way on purpose.

It gives it an old school truly animated feel, but instead of being kiddy the stuff in the comic is mature rated stuff. I like when they do stuff like that. I can see how someone would hate it. But I personally really dug the art, and if you like stuff like that because it may give you a flashback of the old days. Pick it up.

I am a fan of the original series, and I am not a big fan of remakes. But I am interested to see how this will turn out.

Gonna be hard to fuck up the look for Jason whether its human or zombie Jason but I have a bad feeling they will fuck that up. Thats probably my primary concern, it isnt hard to put together that makeup/costume but somehow I feel they will try to tweak it and make it something its not just for the sake of trying to distance the look from the previous looks in the series.

The only look I didnt much care for in the whole series was Jason X.

Im not too worried about the story. Its pretty much already given, whether or not they add or subtract from it remains to be seen. As it shouldnt be that much different whereas Halloween took a different approach even though I didnt mind that remake.

Thank god he's not fucking 8 feet tall or some ridiculous height like Michael Myers in the remake of Halloween. That ruined the movie for me. Looking forward to this movie though! Never was a big Jason fan so hopefully this one will make me a fan.
