Aside from dramas and horror flicks, I like to indulge in a good romance once and a while, since they occasionally deliver some good storytelling. Such is the case with P.S. I Love You, which I found to be a pretty good romance-drama.

I'm usually not interested in romance flicks from the US since they're pretty stupid and cliche, but the premise for this movie intrigued me, so I gave it a shot. Although the Irish accents were a bit sketchy, the film as a whole was entertaining and sweet at times. I'd still prefer a South Korean romance over this, but it wasn't bad.

7/10

Agreed. I haven't seen many good ones from America, but I've seen some good ones from foreign countries. I wasn't too big into the commercial for this, but I might give it a try sometime if I'm able to.

It's the original concept and chemistry between Swank and Butler that really makes the movie stand above others within' the genre.

Yeah, personally, with a lot of romance movies I've seen, the characters, most of the time, only say how much they love each other and don't actually show it, and if they do, I've only seen them show it in small ways. I like it when two people actually show how much they love each other in these types of movies instead of just saying it.

You've seen My Sassy Girl right? That's like my favorite romance-comedy and one of my fav. movies of all time.

That's the flick that really got me into Korean cinema, especially their romance-comedies.

That one's the only Romance film i've seen from that Country. Their Film Noir is what really got me into Korean film.

If you haven't already you should check out A Bittersweet Life by Kim Ji-woon.
Got any other Korean Romance/Comedy films you can reccomend?

I'd recommend checkin' out Windstruck. Has the same chick from Sassy Girl and it's kind of an unofficial prequel to the film.

Just finished watching Windstruck. It was okay. Basically the same formula as My Sassy Girl but way less effective. The end of the movie just dragged on and on, the final scene was funny though how it all connected to MSG.

6/10.

Lover's Concerto - lead guy from Sassy Girl is in this one, it's pretty heavy on the romance.
http://imdb.com/title/tt0328675/

A Moment to Remember - really good Korean romance.
http://imdb.com/title/tt0428870/

Sad Movie - this Korean romance-drama isn't as sad as you'd think, but it's still good.
http://imdb.com/title/tt0475711/

Too Beautiful to Lie - don't remember this Korean romance-comedy much.
http://imdb.com/title/tt0390042/

When Romance Meets Destiny - another good Korean romance-comedy.

I forgot one, Silver Knife (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0382677/) a sex-comedy (no nudity) with a bit of romance, not much though but still has some decent humor to it.

One movie I recommend staying away from is Singles (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0382677/) dull and just a bad movie in general.

I've seen all those movies you mentioned and can backup that they are interesting and somewhat funny watches. I think the only one I might not have seen is Almost Love since it doesn't ring any bells, but I'm gonna try to find it to determine whether I've seen it or not.

After Sassy Girl I tried to get my hands on any and every romance-comedy from Korea, but eventually gave up when I realized they made entirely too many to keep up with, and are now are just copy-cats of successful ones.

Been there. Threw Drink Drank Drunk in the DVD player since I thought I hadn't watched it yet and about 1/4 of the way through the movie I realized I had seen it before.

I've been watching mostly Korean flicks for the past year, year and half since I think they are producing some of the best movies right now. So far my favorite one has been A Bloody Aria.

Actually, I haven't yet. I've been meaning to, but I haven't found the time to yet. Hopefully, I'll be able to check it out this weekend, though, as well as some of the other movies you recommended.
