Couldn't finish the flick. I just had a hard time trying to get over the fact that these guys are speaking clear English (and with accents!) and I couldn't get into any of the lead characters. I know it's meant to be a fantasy, which is why it's so historically inaccurate, but it was still hard for me to get into.

the fight with the mammths running around was great but this film should have been a whole lot more then just one great scene

Didn't like that scene since it seemed entirely too fake, especially when they were running. It was obvious that they were simply running in place with a green screen behind them.

I really have no desire to see this. It looked crappy to begin with and from what it sounds, I was right on that assumption.

I can look past language problems, although when they happen it makes me laugh. Like in Pathfinder where they gave the vikings their own language yet the natives spoke english. I'll end up renting this. But I won't expect much.

I have not seen this movie yet but I've heard some pretty horrible things. For instance...factual errors, language (speaking clear english...can we say HOLLYWOOD), gaps in the storyline, items or objects being used before they were invented, and finally just a really bad movie. I think I'll watch it but I won't enjoy it.

I watched this last night, and it wasn't as bad as I expected. I guess I expected complete crap from everything I had heard. Yes the CG with the sabertooth was bad, but I thought they made for it with the Mammoths. They looked great. The birds looked decent enough. I just wish they hadn't shown ALL the creatures in the trailer. Would have been nice to see a suprise.

Is the movie horrbly innacurate? very likely. Is it very odd that their speaking english while the bad guys spoke their own language? yes. But I looked at it as a fantasy movie. If I was reading this as a book it would have been in english anyway. So will I buy it? no. But its not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Cliched as hell, but a fun flick.
