I just watched the 5 episodes of it. I think it was the uncut episodes so it's damn bloody! Might have to buy the DVD and the Manga.

According to Wiki:
A new season has been announced for 2008 on Spike TV. Takashi Okazaki said in the new season Afro "loses his way, gets tired of all the killing" and he "wakes up to his destiny, which is to be the world's number one warrior."
