View Full Version : The Naruto Shippuuden Movie

This is the first Shippuuden movie, but I think the third or fourth Naruto movie in general. As the movies progressed, they got less kid-like and the action and violence were seemingly kicked up a notch with each installment, which is mostly what the Shippuuden movie consisted of. It seemed more in vein of the anime, which was what the previous films were lacking.

However, the premise is pretty much the same-old -- Naruto and-gang are sent to protect so-and-so, and there's a princess in distress, blah, blah. The story itself isn't much different than the other films, which is my biggest complaint about the movie. Other than that, it was a pretty solid watch. I'm hoping the next installment will have even more violence and maybe some blood thrown in.

Do you have to watch the series to understand the movie? or can an outsider go in watch the movie and make sense of it?

You can just watch it since it's a new storyline just for the movie

Ya know, I could probably watch this stupid show if Naruto wasn't in it and it starred someone else. I can't fuckin stand his character at all.

You must be referring to Naruto's horrible American counterpart, whom they decided to make extra annoying than normal.

Agreed. The dubbed version is atrocious.

probably, I've been told he's alot better in the japanese version. But all the same he's a freaken blonde spikey haired ninja in an orange jumpsuit. I kind of want him dead.

Felt the same when I first got into it, but then it started to kick ass, so now it's one of my fav. animes :nod:

Perhaps I'll give it another chance then. with hope maybe he'll die near the end.

The beginning of this movie starts out with Naruto's death :eek2:
