I would like the show more if actually song writers and professional musicians were the judges. My 3 choices in the big seasts:

1. Tom Petty
2. Natalie Cole
3. OzzY (for laughs)

Watched seasons 1-6. Loved 'em all. Season 6 being my favourite (Chris Rich, Blake, and Jordin).

Then directv started being retarded and wouldn't give us FOX anymore because they said it's a "local" channel but we don't get those.

One thing I like about AI is when they do their "Gives Back" show. The raise alot of money for the unfortunate.

What Idol needs to do is hold auditions in the smaller states. Gas prices are high and the talented people in the smaller states aren't going to travel to the nearest big city just for an audition.

I do hate this shit with a passion. I did however, watch some of the auditions cuz they were hilarious. A lot of this American Idol crap was making me sick. And whens the last time any of the winners did anything other than Kelly Clarkson who one the FIRST one?

Who really cares? It's not like this is 1968 or we're under the iron grip of the BBC. That little box with the blinky lights can probably route several hundred channels onto your television.

My favorite light is the green one. Push the button next to it and the teevee goes off.

i almost watched the last two shows but i forgot to. one of the girls i work with won 2 tickets for the finale and gave them to her neices. the girls got to go to last two shows and since they picked a cheaper hotel got to stay 4 nights instead of 3. one of the girls is in my oldest daughters class and on the last day of school they pretty much grilled her on what she saw there. one thing i remember her telling me was that it cost $62.50 for a cab from the airport to their hotel.

Daughtry is doing just as good as Clarkson has(i'm with you though, I can't stand this shit either). Either way Clarkson >, simply on the fact I think she is hot.

Dude, Carrie Underwood is like the biggest selling female country artists out there right now. Jennifer Hudson (although not a show winner) won an Oscar for Chrissakes and is costarring in Sex and the City. Fantasia has had 2 hit albums on the R&B charts, starred on Broadway in The Color Purple and is doing the movie version. Clay Aiken has had 4 good selling albums and starred on Broadway in Spamalot. Daughtry's album sells speak for themelves. Jordin Sparks has like 2 songs in the top 20 right now. I think this show helps people's careers.....

Kelly Clarkson always has and always forever be my Idol. She told Simon and his management team to fuck off and did her 3rd album the way she wanted. JerryPuck has covered pretty much everyone's careers from that show. Carrie Underwood would be the 2nd most successful winner from the show. However, I hate the show since season 1. I don't really pay attention to any of it.
