Fear Itself, starting May 29th! Episode Line-Up.
The Eater - A rookie cop must spend her first night in the precinct watching over a serial killer known as The Eater. When her fellow cops start acting bizarre, she quickly learns that no one is who they seem. (The guy who plays the serial killer is over 7 feet tall... sounds good.)
Spooked - While on a stakeout in a haunted house, a PI is made to confront the demons of his past. (meh.)
Community - When a young married couple move into the perfect house in the perfect neighborhood, their lives seem... perfect. But as the dark underbelly of the burbs creeps to the curface, they realize just how far their neighbors will go to make sure the couple complies with their twisted sense of conformity. (Sounds simple, I hope they add in some interesting ideas.)
The Sacrifice - Four criminals find themselves stranded in a snowed in fort and discover a trio of sirens reside there. (A monster episode, sounds fun.)
In Sickness and In Health - On her wedding day, a bride frons a note that reads, "The person you're marrying is a serial killer." (I like the idea.)
New Year's Day - A young woman wakes up in a post-apocalyptic world overurn by zombies. (Zombies are always amazing.)
Family Man - A likeable family man switches bodies with a serial killer after a near death experience and must fight from behind bars to stop his family from becoming the killer's latest victims. (Could be good.)
Skin and Bones - When a cattle herder returns home to his family after being lost for days, he must fight a terrifying monster possessing him. (I hope this isn't another Deer Woman monster...)
Something With Bite - A reinvention of the traditional werewolf story. (I loved MOH The V Word, had that old school vampire taste. Lets hope this is another good point for werewolf horror.)
Chance - In the vein of such doppleganger tales and Jekyll & Hyde, a battle ensues when a man is confronted by evil itself. (Bleh.)
Ouija - Unknown plot.
Echoes - Unknown plot.

:shakehead Get with it girlfriend! jk
Masters of Horror wasn't renewed for another season on HBO. I guess it went through a title change, the gore was tuned down, and it moved to NBC as Fear Itself. Basically short horror movies.

Some of the storie's sound simple, but yet with the fact of being on NBC sadly the blood and gore probably won't be there. I might give it at least one watch and see how it turn's out anyone know what time it's on tonight?.

I've been seeing this advertised on the on TV for a while now. Though I have to say that the advertisements haven't really got me interested. Perhaps I might watch the first episode and see how it turns out.

Not a chance I'll bother with this. Masters of Horror is just utter trash, doubt an NBC version is going to be much better other than for cheap jump scares.

Masters of Horror was on Showtime.
I liked MoH and was pretty pissed when they cannd it. This PG-13 version will be garbage.

Just catch next weeks episode, it is starring Eric Roberts, and I am sure they will rerun last nights episode sometime this summer. It wasn't bad in imo for NBC

The second ep was directed by Brad Anderson who did Session 9 and The Machinist look's like it might be watchable.

Saw "The Sacrifice". Interesting plot, but the monster turned out pretty lame. And the music got annoying. Playing dreadfully in like, every scene, trying to build up tension. Meh. The episode was OKAY. Not that great.

I watched half of last night's episode. I guess 2 guys died (criminal and and a Vice President) and they switched bodies and both came back to life. Wasnt too scary and slow. I turned it off.

Tonight is John Landis' episode. I plan on watching it. I talked to him about it over the weekend, he seemed pretty excited about it.

I'm diggin' these Fear Itself eps. They're not great, but they're sure-as-hell more entertaining than most of the MoH series. Since they can't rely on blood and guts, they have to focus all their talents on the story, making each episode more interesting, while the MoH series seemed to only exist in an attempt to "cross the line" for each director, and ultimately ended up a complete waste of time.
