Are there really no more original ideas in Hollywood? After the NOES, F13TH prequel,Hellraiser remake I'm boycotting all remakes.

Technically this is not a Hollywood production. The company behind this is actually a very low-budget and fairly unknown production company.

I don't think serious would work here. I think it needs to be intentionally campy, I would actually wanna see it if that were the case.

I totally agree with you. How serious can you make a film from Edward D. Wood Jr.? Perhaps Uwe Bool could direct, since both of them are alike in their filmmaking abilities.

the intentionally bad, self aware Bmovie has been done to death. There's only a few funny ones. This will just be something that finds it's way into DVD bargain bins thanks to the Wood/Plan 9 branding.

Yet Ed Wood was leaps and bounds above Boll, as he had much less to work with.
That said, this is truly the most unnecessary remake yet, Hollywood or indie.

that's true...I have to give Mr. Wood credit for that much.

I'm not sure about this project either. I don't really see the need for it?? I can actually understand what the director is wanting to do, but why??

Not much need for several productions currently underway... yet, there they are.
