yeah didn't see this coming a mile away. I got only halfway through the anime before the website I was watching them on went down, but I can't wait to see the original.

Take it as a rumor for now. Even it is true, it's so early in production that it may never actually happen.

yeah thats why I put it here, but the news was so non-shocking to me I went ahead and posted it. Is the CG as bad in the original as it looks with the demons? I'm still seein the original regardless but I was just curious.

Here's Hopen. While I havn't seen it, I've enjoyed the Anime enough to not want this to be America's next Asian Film Rape.

Would it actually do well? I mean, of course FANS would flock to it, but would its premise be enough to convince mainstream audiences? When I first heard of "Death Note" from my friend, I admit, I thought the whole story sounded ridiculous. 'Til I saw the first episode.

looks like WB has the rights to the remake. Doesn't mean it'll happen anytime soon, but theres something on it. I wonder who would make a good L. Jake Gyllenhaal I think would be real good @ it. Or maybe even Alessandrio Juliani (I think thats his name) who playe Gaeta in Battlestar Galactica, he's the guy who voiced L in the american Dubbed version of the movie and Anime.
