Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see the pic that pretty much indicates that they intend to remake the film. I mixed, since I loved the first one and wonder if a remake will help or hurt it, but loath it's sequels and know a remake could help escape from them. My guess is we'll have to wait untill either Film photo's are released or a Teaser/Trailer is out.

That would be interesting. Those movies graphics are so dated. But I can see this being a CGI crapfest.

Like most movies, Christian Bale or Daniel Day-Lewis could make it better.

Robocop in todays day in age = garuanteed PG-13 CGI crapfest IMO.

Also if you look on the main IMDB Robocop page they have news not only on a ROBOCOP remake but a RED DAWN remake from MGM.

Red Dawn getting a remake would be the biggest wtf remake if there ever was one IMO. Really showing that the 80s from top to bottom will be recycled.

I love the original robocop, but I would give this a chance. Course I agree it could become a CGI PG-13 crapfest. Guranteed it'll be PG-13 with movies like Ironman being so big. No suprise there. Could be worth a watch though.

I really like Robocop. A remake of this does not excite me. Would i watch it? Of course.

being that the first film was the only good one, the thought of a more cyberpunk remake excites me, but I doubt that will happen.

If it's not R it can't top the blood fest that was the original.

If it's not R it can't top the blood fest that was the original.

And that was what gave the original so much of its charm.

I won't bother with a remake. I can't even stand the sequels. Robocop is a perfect stand alone film that says all it needs to. But it cost 11 million dollars starred a robot and brought in huge bank, a shitty franchise was inevitable.

The original is great, and I would watch this, but this will be PG-13 and I really think Robocop is/should be too violent for that.

And that picture looked stupid. Made me sad.

EDIT: Robocop 2 is also great.

I liked the first, dont remember the sequels and looks like that isnt a bad thing. I would see it, even if it was PG-13, but R is best to me.
