Just thought I'd make a post asking what you all would like to see added or improved on the UHM site. The site usually goes through various changes throughout the year (I have a habit of getting bored of the same thing after a while), so if anyone had any suggestions or comments about anything regarding the regular site, then feel free to mention it here.

Theres not much that needs improvement. If anything, you could use a different layout in terms of colors instead of the purple/black setup. Maybe more white or a red, etc.

Users who've donated $20 or more have been bumped up to "Uber-Registered" status, giving them the option to leave tags on other threads, and also have the option to move their own threads if they notice they've posted in the incorrect forum or if they just want to move it somewhere else for whatever reason.

Their maximum stored PM messages have also been bumped from 70 to 100 (not sure why anyone would need to keep so many). The maximum pics per album has been increased from 100 to 150 (again, not sure why someone would need so many, but the option is there).

Lastly, "Uber-Registered" members will be listed in the "Forum Leaders" (http://www.upcominghorrormovies.com/uhm/showgroups.php) page.

NOTE: If I see negative tags placed in any of the threads I will immediately remove the option to leave tags.

There's now a "Tag's Cloud" on the forum homepage.

The "Quick Reply" has been slightly improved, giving users smilies and other options.

The "Display Threads" options have been moved to the top of forums for easier access.

The look of the quoting system has been changed to an easier-on-the-eyes design.

Your computer must be F'd. I'm not getting any of these issues. If you're not using Mozilla Firefox, I'd recommend using it ASAP. Also, clear your browser's cache if you haven't yet.

No need for a suggestion box really. I've seen so many movies over the years -- if a movie hasn't been reviewed yet, it's likely that I've seen it and haven't re-watched it, or I chose not to see it at all. The only ones that I haven't seen that someone could recommend me are from the 80's and I already have a large collection of 80's horror that I plan on watching anyway, so they will eventually be reviewed.

Unless the film is of "public domain" pretty much any movie up to this point would eventually get me in trouble. Unlike torrent sites, UHM is directly involved with studios. They pay for the ads on the site and I often get contacted by PR reps that are looking to do giveaways or something along those lines.

Besides, there's no point in it anyway, since there are much better places to find horror torrents. UHM would essentially just be leeching off their torrents anyway, which would also get me in trouble with those sites. :ahheh:

The store isn't available. It's just an addon to the points system, where users can spend some of their points on something, like an icon or something. I didn't enable it since we pretty much already have the ability to post whatever avatar and signature pics already, so it'd be pointless.

The one thing that I would love to see added to the board is a spoiler tag. This way you can go, The titanic sinks! and it will appear in black. Instead of people having to change the text color to black and then the readers highlighting it they can just drag there mouse right over it. I've seen it done on lots of boards and its fantastic. I know making the spoilers in black is done around here but you can't change text color in the quick reply without typing out the code, which I never remember. Just an idea.

They are scored and ranked, and you will get props on the scoreboard and get a little mention to the right of your posts on the board. It's not to bash on a certain member thats what the council is for. Flame forum is where people like me, Cata, Cannibal, Kick, and Kmike when he's been drinking J&B could go an talk shit and not have it spill into other forums or threads. It's just a fun little forum some sites have. They just add basic ground rules like no racist comments, and enter at your own risk. It keeps things from spilling over into chat or other forums, cause peeps have a place trash talk.

Edit: I bet it would get high traffic and not be a dead area like some others...
