Within the cinematic genre of horror, we have become accustomed to the splattering of blood and the evisceration of the human creature upon our ocular perceptions. Yet blood and guts have become cliché in the modern horror film. We have become immune and desensitized to the fright and disgust that the horror film is intended to evoke, by its very natures, within our psyche.

As our collective visual consciousness evolves as a society and greater universe, the grotesque aesthetics of the horror film must also grow. The insatiable deviance of the contemporary horror fan demands more from the arsenal of seemingly finite biological slaughter and fright. We are no longer shocked by the visual presence of torture and death. We have seen such things ad nauseam. Nausea is exactly where Lucifer Valentine, the regurgitating progenitor of "vomit gore", arrives into the open mouths of the horror genre.

Lucifer Valentine, the Satanic hierophant of Roman Showers and lubricating emetophilia, has invoked utter repulsion within the stomach of horror fans with his fringe classic "Slaughtered Vomit Dolls". His films are of course not simply expressions of visual disgust through blood, gore, and bile. They have a much deeper and primal resonance. One may say that the films of Lucifer Valentine are cinematic expressions of the unstable uncertain realities of Quantum mechanics.

Lucifer Valentine has returned unto existential celluloid planes to unleash the second in his series of murderous bile erotica with the film ReGoregitated Sacrifice. The film continues the tragic ethereal demise of Angela Aberdeen, played with seducing psychological unraveling by Ameara Lavey.

ReGoregitated Sacrifice, like its predecessor, is a hallucinogenic non-linear journey between the life and death of Angela. It is a cinematic example of what the tortured soul may experience within the post mortem Bardo of the Buddhist as well as its experiencing of quantum multidimensional realities.

ReGoregitated Sacrifice surpasses Slaughtered Vomit Dolls in terms of the degree of bile and blood, as well as erotic visual. The Presence of the Black Angels of Hell introduce, among its many esoteric cinematic connotations, the role of rape and torture of the feminine by the feminine. The prevalence of lesbianism with sex and death represents the all too ignored aspect of the creative-destroying complex of the feminine archetype. Like critics of so many films where questions of woman hating is always pointed, the role of the Black Angels of Hell will perhaps quell such allegations.

The cinematography and camera work, performed by Lucifer with secondary work by The Black Kid, is excellent artistically. The various technicalities and style reflect perfectly the hallucinatory and often demonic experiences the death of consciousness from incarnation may experience. The special effects were created by Arcanum Design Works, who also worked on Slaughtered Vomit Dolls, and Chris the Heathen Valagao. The blood and carnage within ReGoregitated Sacrifice ranks with any professional film and has a realism to parts of it that makes one question whether Valentine in reality made a snuff film.

It is a film that, like its predecessor, will more than likely be misunderstood by the common denominator of horror and film fans. It is more than a mixture of sex and death showered with vomit. It is more than simple shock value cinema. It should be considered as a film testing limitations and forming an evolving symbiotic relationship between the experimental and horror genre. Besides watching with an open mouth, from becoming nauseas yourself, it should be watched with an open mind.

Written, directed, photographed, edited, and scored by Valentine himself, ReGoregitated Sacrifice illustrates that Lucifer is certainly a talented and controversial character within the horror genre. His ability to transform tabooed subjects into shocking and frightening art indicates that he will be remembered, and not forgotten as many independent controversial filmmakers are.

From Kingdom of Hell Productions and Director Lucifer Valentine comes by far one of the most vile, disgusting and fantastic films since his first part to the Vomit Gore Trilogy. Hellish and Satanic Nightmares and hallucinations for Angela Aberdeen (Angel of Aberdeen) had only just begun. Chock full of chunks and full–on filth, I present to you an overspew, I mean overview of this splatsterpiece of ungodly proportions.

ReGOREgitated Sacrifice

All bets are off!!! Just when I had thought I had seen nasty and disturbing, yet artsy and meaningful, Mr. Valentine has proved me very wrong, in more ways than one.

Between life and death, via suicide, lies a place in which hell cannot compare a sort of putrid purgatory for those that have lived life under the eyes of Satan. Angela (Ameara LaVey) had lived a life of pain, suffering with bulimia and envisioning life in her mind as a place of hate and violence. These things for her have proven true, but it is only after her death that the visions become more of a reality than during her wretched and extremely sad life.

Taking place in what seemed to be the time between her suicide and the total brain death, her mind took her to her destination. In what is probably a few seconds, her mind envisions a lifetime of hurt and the most intense violence and bile drenched apparitions. Unknown to most; the hurt and pain she had gone through and the date of her intoxication and passing out at the Excelcionne hotel coincide with instances and the same date and of an O.D. Kurt Cobain had at the Exelcior Hotel in Rome. I found this to be a brilliant trip into both lives. In the words of Kurt Cobain “I hate myself and I want to die”, this applies with Angela and her experiences as well as her feelings of self loathing.

The Angel of Aberdeen (Angela Aberdeen) also holds meaning to the life and death of Cobain, being that he lived in Aberdeen, yet died on lake Washington Blvd. There are many Cobain references throughout the film but I will not give them all away in this review, you can find out more by watching the film and the special features, they are explained in the utmost detail.

Back to Angela’s PURGEatory, we find our selves in a place of bright white light, surrounding us are victims whom are apparently the multiple personalities of Angela, enduring some of the most violent, sadistic and beautifully barf worthy scenes of love, hate, torture and murder. This showing us that every part of her is dyeing, all that was human is piece by piece being destroyed. Following from her former life, and her unconscious realities, is the barf man himself Henry (Hank Skinny) and his new minions the Black Angels of Hell, twins who share the same interests as Henry, Blood and the art of Emetophelia.

The Angels seemed to have been designed for one thing and that is to cause hatred and strangely enough, beauty in the atrocities which lie ahead. In one scene for instance we find them loving each other and then brutalizing each other with a feeling of lust and pleasure, took me to a horrible place in my mind. To know that two sisters can have so much love and hate for each other as well as themselves and not to mention others. Don’t get me wrong there is a whole lot of love and hate between siblings but not to this extreme.

The question that lies in my head are they her so called guardians into death or are they there to strike fear into what’s left of her mind, a taste of what’s to come. It’s horrifying, this place in the mind where no person should enter, that is unless your soul is sold to Satan and you are looking to be by his side at his Alter of anguish.

Through the various scenes of torture, vomit, and gore, I found myself witnessing much more fetish oriented sequences than the last film, such as Prego porn (not full out porn just insinuations) and a bit of Water sports (Piss, for those who aren’t down with the lingo) thrown in, is this for shock value or for alternative sexual lifestyle desire? Or could there be much more behind these nasties? Only one person can truly answer this question.

Well I gotta tell you people that this was not as easy a film to cover as Slaughtered Vomit Dolls was. It is extremely in depth and has more meaning hidden behind each element of the film than you could possibly imagine. Hopefully my upcoming interview with Lucifer can shed some light on the background elements behind most of the madness. So be on the lookout for the interview if you have interest in this kind of cinema.

When it comes to the writing and direction of this film I give a 10. As I had mentioned earlier the hidden meaning behind each element of the film is something that cannot be over looked, that is if you can catch on to it and not just focus on the grotesque surroundings… Focus on what the scenes of vomit and torture are trying to say. Using the obvious love for Nirvana and its long lost beloved Kurt Cobain, to create a background story for the film was in its own horrific way an outstanding tribute to the king of Grunge. With this being said to create a film that is so openly sadistic and disgusting, having such feeling beyond the vomit is a major credit and I give credit where credit is due.

The cinematography was outstanding I give a 9. With scenes shot in bright backgrounds it truly shows us the talent and hard work put into the FX, which I will talk about shortly. During some ground shot scenes with a cover over the lens of the camera in order to keep the bile off the goods, I found some sliding movements to get closer to the atrocities. This gave a creepier feel to the scenes this was used for. Much of the film was very bright and beautifully shot with extreme crisp quality. Still carrying the artsy feel that Slaughtered Vomit Dolls had is by far a giant plus for this sicko (ME). To be plain and simple, this film had outstanding camera work!

As for the acting I would have to give a 7. Though Ameara and Hank delivered on what they were there for, I did find some of the girls to be a bit week in the acting area… However!!! When it comes to the scenes that they had to do when it came to violence, pseudo pornographic and the realizations of the suffering they felt I definitely tip my hat, especially after I puked in it! The Black Angels of Hell were Fantastic, their presence brought more fear and extremity to every scene they had been involved in, especially being TWINS! So therefore, regardless of the actual speaking roles of some girls I have no complaints when it comes to their realism in moments of pain and suffering.

The FX definitely gets a 10. Like I said being a very bright film, for the most part, I would see this as being a huge obstacle to overcome. Every gore scene shot was fantastic; you could see every bubbly chunk and every bit of nastiness with just about no flaws… Unbelievable! With most films like this you will find extreme gore scenes shot in dark environments to hide what the camera would pick up, but Lucifer managed to pull it off with no help from dim light at gritty film quality. There are a few scenes in particular that stood out for me, vaginal sewing and the separation of Siamese twins at the head via hacking. Watch and see, you will know what I’m trying to convey.

As for the film as a whole, ReGOREgitated SacriFice Gets a 9. I am definitely still partial to SVD, but I do know brilliance when I see it, and this film is CHUNK-full of that. I can’t say enough how the background stories of Cobain and Aberdeen’s lives coinciding the way they do was, what I would think to be extremely difficult to mesh, however Lucifer Valentine did it with perfection. I am Definitely hoping that the third part to the Vomit Gore Trilogy will tie all together and give me the satisfaction I have received so far from his films.

And a quick thing here, I was going to review the features of the 2 disc masterpiece, but they need to be seen everything you may want to know about this particular film is explained in detail. So FUCK YOU, go and purchase the shit for your selves or donate on the site for a download of the film! I know that many things I have written may be a bit repetitive but when I feel strongly of things I tend to repeat myself, so sue me!

here's an excerpt about me and Satanism in ReGOREgitated Sacrifice from a very in-depth interview by Soiled Sinema:

SS: Both of your films reflect your own beliefs in Satanism, correct? And could you describe your beliefs? Did you make one of these sacred pacts that these women make?

LV: There’s a quote on my myspace that I wrote that sums up my belief in Satanism, which is the following:

"To me Satan means whatever people can't fathom or understand; the Unknown, whatever breaks the commonplace and predictable mental patterns of conventional thought and experience; Satan represents the opposite of people's fears, weakness, and crushing self-doubt about their world and the entire Universe."

My parents are Satanists and I was raised with their beliefs instilled in me throughout my formative years; and, I think in my movies it is sometimes apparent that the movie was made by a Satanist, but that’s just my personal characteristics naturally coming out through the artistic process and its not necessarily important to me that my movies seem Satanic.

Ironically, in Slaughtered Vomit Dolls (SVD) and ReGOREgitated Sacrifice (RS), the two “Satanic Pact” scenes are prime examples of me, an actual Satanist, interpreting what non-satanists think Satanism is ! So for example, in SVD, when Angela/Ameara makes her Pact with the Devil, that is my interpretation showing the mythological notion, based on what I saw in the ”Satanic Panic” episodes of the Geraldo Rivera talk show from the 1980’s, of a teenager making a pact with Satan and giving her life and soul to him. Its ironic to me because that scene with Angela is a pure fear image conjured and realized by non-satanist parents, Christians mostly, to give themselves the comfort of hatred and ignorance toward something they do not understand, thereby actually creating a self-fulfilling prophesy of teenage rebellion by making dark realms like Satanism a taboo to be sought out by their children.

In ReGOREgitated Sacrifice, the “Whore” character is forced by a serial killer to recite a Satanic Pact to do with his obsession of destroying beauty. Again this is not necessarily my idea of real Satanism as I know it, but it is my interpretation of how some serial killers take on a very distorted view of Satanism as a justification premise to allow themselves mental leeway, if you will, to commit various acts of violence and murder.

Just a quick question LV, you state that because of the nature of your films the only way to let us watch/buy them is if you make dvd-r's... I guess I don't understand, because TTP is able to print their films on real DVD format and IMO their movies so far have been just as or maybe even sicker that "The vomit gore saga". I mean look at FTBOMP and what they were able to do with TGM? that film has some sick shit in it and it was printed and pressed professionally and hand numbered and autographed (on pre-orders) and they were able to sell their film for $30.00 with shipping included??? I understand you have to make money to keep your films coming to your fans, but isn't $50.00 for a DVD-R and an autograph on a limited ed. a bit excessive?? I guess my point is this, I have your first film and was actually somewhat looking forward to your next projects, out of sheer curiosity. You keep it underground and we appreciate that, but the price tag is outrageous, and trust me I own over 1300 DVD's many signed and many limited editions, and I have never paid that much for a single disk off the bat. I have when they go OOP but not when they are still available.

I gave the guy the benefit of the doubt and decided to check out ReGOREgitated Sacrifice and boy was I NOT surprised.

The movie offered nothing to the audience. There's a hint of story there somewhere but is denied any chance of being explored upon by all the pointless and repetitive puking and pissing (yeah you read right). I don't think there was 5 minutes in the whole damn thing where someone wasn't puking <---not a joke. He puts it there to probably shock you or gross you out and while you may cringe the first time, after 30 min. you yawn and ask yourself why am I still watching this?

The acting was shit. It was nothing more than some low grade porn chicks paid to look at the camera and talk. There was maybe a page and a half of lines in the whole hour.

The gore was almost non existent and considering the title I expected more. There were 3 gore shots in the entire movie. The rest was them laying on the floor with blood spread on them. I will give a lot of credit though when it comes to the gore because I found it to be done really well and is the only positive in this entire shitfest.

Final verdict....

1/10 - Just not worth the hour it runs. It gives you nothing to watch for except puke, piss, the gore when shown, then more puke. The movie sucks end of story.
