(Blu-Ray) Afro Samurai: Director's Cut

Funimation will be releasing this mini-series on Blu-ray on August 26th. As far as I know, the special features are identical to the ones on the Director's Cut DVD. Link contains cover art. Also, it seams that there might be a continuation of the series, since the cover art seems to indicate a Season One package.

I still find it pointless to put Anime on high-def. You really can't get much better quality from animation, unless it's CGI.

I'm suprised they arent seeing it as a viable option for standard def. series. You could probably fit a 100 episode series on just a few discs.

That's true, it would help collecting series a lot easier. Although the boxsets are cool, I sometimes hate having so many huge boxes in my DVD shelf.
