View Full Version : Alligator
dead breed

PLOT: Ramon the alligator is flushed down the toilet as a baby and grows into a gargantuan monster by eating the corpses of laboratory animals who have undergone dubious hormone experiments, thus providing all the ecological and social subtext that one could possibly wish for, even if one doesn't normally go for films about giant alligators eating people left, right, and center--which is the inevitable and tragic result of Ramon's decision that the outside world looks rather more interesting than the sewers....

This is 80's cheese at its best. A great pass time of 89 minutes. Check it out, it won't disappoint!

Not exactly what I'd consider underground, but more or less a forgotten gem.
An entertaining killer animal flick.

Well maybe Dead Breed doesn't quite understand what 'underground' means and took it literal and posted a movie that partially takes place underground. :ahheh:

Some guys I know were hatin' on it for its lack of modern special effects. Idiots didn't know they were dealing with a cult classic.

I've never forgotten the scene in the sewer where the two cops are fucking with the map and the flashlight passes over that massive alligator head and it turns to look at them. One of the greatest horror shots of all time...aside from that, DB, you're right, just a great cheesefest to kill time.

I remember seeing parts of this flick a long time ago, but I've never seen the film all the way through. All I remember is that it has one of the kids from Nickelodeon's "Salute Your Shorts" in the film.

Love this movie... one my favorite "monster on the loose" flicks.
My wife says she can't watch this flick, because of the little kid walking the plank scene... said it's always upset her.
I thought it was a damn effective scene.

I remember this movie, pretty good... yea and walkin' the plank is like the only scene that I remember from it.
I remember this, enjoyable. I loved 80's cheese. Also reminds me of Pirahna(spelling?)
