What do you guys think of this movie? I don't think I've heard alot of opinions about it from people outside of Sweden.

I think as a zombie movie it's awesome as hell. Gory and sweet looking zombies. The first part of the movie on the other hand, I didn't find very special. But well worth the wait for the zombies.

"Kristen is caring for her Terminally ill husband who is suffering from a degenerative bone disease. With no cure available she turns to a friend to help find an alternative form of medicine that has unimaginable side effects."

I didn't care for it, really. Might just be because my expectations were to high.

It moved a little to slow for me and not enough zombie action. When it finally happens there's plenty of blood, gut munching and head explosions but I just kinda wish it would have gotten to it a little faster. The effects are great and there is some blood 'n gore that happens till the zombies attack but just not enough to quench my thirst. :D

As bad as I may make it sound, its still worth a watch.

I think the reason I liked it was because me and a friend saw it one time, and didn't care for it. Then I found the DVD and I just couldn't remember why we didn't like it, or what happened in it, so I bought it for the hell of it. Having low expectations, I watched it again and it was great.

I agree that it's slow, but still loved the zombie action. For some reason, it reminded me of Fulci zombie movies.

A fair comparison I think.

I really like Brian's films. They are technically flawed at times but he never fails to go for the gag or push the limits of good taste. His newest film FETUS I felt was an improvement over Bone sickness. I highly recomend that eveyone pick it up.

I liked it also maybe cause i think Brian does a really good job on such a small budget but he get's the job done with what work's for him.

Brian is really good with what he does. Obviously there are flaws in some of his films, but they're just alot of fun. Bone Sickness has some of the coolest zombies in American zombie film history.

Brian himself is a very cool guy and cares deeply for the genre.

Before the "zombie invasion gorehound's delight part", there's not much to write home about, except for the vomiting and exiting of worms scene. Overall I enjoyed this flick.

Never really been into low budget horror before. Ok, i sat around laughing through Troma movies with my mates but thats about it. Oh and i sat through alice in murderland last week which kinda put me off them again. This one wasnt as bad as some id seen and i liked the plot ... somewhat and the zombies looked good and also the gore not bad but then all off a sudden it hit me! .. ive always wanted to make a film but could i do better? Probably fucking not! thats it see .... im looking at quality and stuff but i never fucking realised.... bone sickness was the directors dream and to make a film like that takes more skill id ever given credit for. Id like to think i could do better but in reality its NEVER gonna happen! Not saying i loved it but who am i to comment? Were all horror lovers so maybe ill give some more a shot and not pass judgement anymore. Got Violent shit 1 + 2 later lol should be fun!

Fetus is my favourite from Brian Paulin. Then Bone Sickness and Bloodpigs.

He is a dedicated filmmaker and loves the gore. Nice guy too. I had the opportunity to talk to him on another site. Very cool.

Ive been trying to get hold of blood pigs but am having a little difficulty. Fetus on the other hand i can get and will be watching pretty soon, on my own though. my better half is starting to think im sick! lol Watched Nekromantic the other day after years and years and she walked out within 10 mins. lol . she loves horror too but not like me! Its my life!
Its good to know Brian's a good guy. Most horror writers/directors are. Only ever met one great guy ..... Doug Bradley back in 2001. He signed my puzzle box for me and about a year later my girlfreind at the time of 3 yrs smashed it with a hammer! I belive i actually cried! lol needless to say i moved out.lol Anyway, ill get onto blood pigs a.s.a.p as i actually quite enjoyed Bone Sickness. Bout time i opened up more with the horror scene. Take care

You're definitely in for a treat fizgig with Fetus. I'll have to agree with Wooden it being his best work so far.

The first 10 minutes of Nekromantik doesn't even include the juicy bits. Your old girlfriend sounds like one mean "creation". I believe I would have had the same emotional outburst as yourself.

Like most, Fetus is my favourite of Paulin's work. I think it has more of a story, a better feel, visuals, GORE! It has some very disturbing shit in there to say the least. As for Bone Sickness, I fell asleep during it, and I didn't mind. Woodenheart bought Blood Pigs for me and we watched it together, we both fell asleep :D I never revisited it though, maybe I should.

I prefer Ron DeCaro's work, he's a genius!

I have this movie, I watch it every time I'm working on a horror project, like I am now. Bone Sickness is a great zombie flick, it may be flawed at times but it doesnt' bother me in the least, I love the story and the characters are fine, and the gore is awesome. I still need to see Fetus and Bloodpigs, both sound great, eventhough from what I've gathered on Fetus it was a story about a guy using a demonic spell book to enable his wife to carry a baby, I like the idea but it doesn't sound original, perhaps it's how you use certain conventions to make them original, I'll give it a look.

I'd love to talk to Brian, he sounds awesome and I think I'd like to hang with him if I ever could. great filmmaker.

I don't remember much other than the color red and titties... I don't guess that's a very bad thing all in all... The end almost lost me but then they cranked it up again at the last minute.

Just curious what some of you who have seen this would rate it? I may be judging it a bit unfairly bc I don't watch as much indie underground horror. I don't know.

Toby

I rate it 9, good zombie flick. Just wish Paulin would've given more insight about the zombies returning, but if it's for mystery sake I think it's done great. Have yet to see Fetus and then Blood Pigs.

I have to offer a dissenting opinion: I hated this movie. Haaaated this movie. For my close circle of friends and myself, cheesy B-horror is our forte. One particular winter a couple of years ago, we were watching at least 3 indie horror films a week. But nothing we had seen before could prepare me for Bone Sickness. To me, it is literally the worst movie I've ever seen. Without exaggeration. This was a spot previously held by films such as The Last Slumber Party, Zombie Lake, and Shatter Dead, but those films can't hold a candle to how awful this was. At least those titles were bad in a somewhat funny/entertaining way.

I'm sure that the creator is a nice enough dude and I definitely respect anyone who goes out and makes a movie on their own without compromise...but Jesus, man. Seems as though I'm the only one on this forum with that opinion, but I'm okay with that.
