I didn't know where else to put this...

Two of my favorite movies, "Naked Lunch," and "Videodrome," are often labeled as "Horror." I don't know if they're really considered horror by horror fans though. I feel these two movies should be more or less labeled as "Sci-Fi," because they seem to have a definite science-fiction feel to them. But I really wanted to get the opinions of some hardcore horror fans, what do you think? Are these two movies horror or no?

In case you've never heard of them before, here's the IMDb links for each of them...

I would consider VIDEODROME to be horror. NAKED LUNCH is something else entirely...although a case could be made for it.

Sci-Fi and horror can and often do coexist quite nicely. No one would argue that ALIEN isn't horror. (Well...no smart person would argue that.)

Some films cannot be labeled as simply "horror" or simply "sci-fi". Better to say they have horror/sci-fi influences and call it a day. Trying to catagorize some films can lead to endless debates with the right crowd.
