July 1, 2008 - On September 23, 2008, Paramount Home Entertainment will release The Godfather Collection – The Coppola Restoration on DVD and Blu-ray. The epic films, highly regarded as some of the best ever made, will be sold separately or in the complete box in standard definition while the Blu-ray version will only be available in the complete box set, which will contain a bevy of all-new bonus materials and extra features. The DVD box set will be available for the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of $72.99, while the individual DVDs will run for the MSRP of $19.99 each. The Blu-ray box will go for the MSRP of $119.98.

I still to this day have never seen a Godfather movie. I may by this just to see what the big deal is.

$119 for three movies? I don't care how good the picture quality is, I'll pass until the price comes down.

MSRP is never the same as actual store/online prices. That was right around the MSRP for the Dirty Harry BD boxset, and you could find it for 70-80$ easily online.

I wouldn't mind having this on DVD. They're all great films! However, I think I will wait a little bit. By then, maybe I can score a great deal some place whether online or retail. :nod:
