The guy still has an 'itch' and has his family wanting him to do the same.

I say why the fuck not. The last throw of his career was not the way anyone would want to go out. I say if he wants back in and the Packers front office wants him back. I say go for it. If he gets hurt, Rodgers is ready to go.
Watch out for the Madden curse though.
:D

He needs to stay his ass retired. Quite frankly I'm tired of watching him choke in playoff games. Year after year nothing but postseason heartbreak with the guy.
Aaron Rodgers is the future and the future is now.

Well put.
Why waste a young team on a QB who is on the decline without question. If the Packers dont want him back, I can see him going elsewhere. Not sure who would take a flyer on him though.

if he comes out of retirement it will be a huge mistake brett favre is only going to say he wants to retire even more.
An itch? What itch? Apparently he enjoys throwing interceptions.

Yeah he's pretty much an interception machine, and was the sole reason the lost to NY in the playoffs.

He should try and get a spot in the front office not from them.

I think we know where Rodgers stands on this
http://blogs.jsonline.com/packers/archive/2008/07/01/rodgers-featured-in-si-story.aspx
It's an interesting read on Rodgers and his take on what he's about to get into. And here's the money quote from Rodgers, who is asked whether he feels pressure to connect with Packer fans the way Favre did. Says Rodgers: "I don't feel I need to sell myself to fans. They need to get on board now or keep their mouths shut.":mhehe:

Gonna hate A-Rod too when he torches your favorite team's defense in the years to come.

Hell yeah, and I'll do it for a meager 2 mill a year.

Yeah, that's the attitude to have with fans who are used to having the greatest QB of all time. Hope for his sake his game is at least half as big as him mouth.
I just watched the Pack vs. Cinncinati in sept 1992 on tv the other night. The dude was electrifying. It was also interesting to see Sterling Sharpe, I had forgotten about him.

This is all they talk about on Sportscenter, I'm getting kinda sick of it. They usually have the topics lined up down the side to let you know whats coming up, and every topic was Brett. Rediculous. I'm thinkin do they not have anything else to talk about? Besides Brett Favre and Tiger Woods?

Barring an epic collapse. The Pats will be the featured subject. As a Pats fan, im not looking forward to it. They make great theater but things get dicey especially around here. Likewise its the most popular time for this forum which is a good thing.

i'd be on the fence...i'd love so much to hear the packer bitches cry about their idol trading on them and running for minnesota, but at the same time i'd prefer not to have a number 4 in purple.
hopefully this is the last we will hear about this...:bored:

Favre in a purple uniform = a good 2 or 3 TD's for the Packer defense on Sept 8.
And personally I'd love nothing more than to see the drama queen throw a another game-killing, heart-breaking, season-ending interception for this year's paper champions, the Minnesota Vikings.

i could already see him whining about how he missed a touchdown and how he cant do it anymore as a QB while helping the vikings lose their games
Favre needs to go away already. And the Packers don't owe him shit, it'll always be vice-versa. He would have rotted in Atlanta otherwise, just as he will rot on another team's roster if the Packers cave in to his demands.
