View Full Version : Man...I miss Chris Farley...

Beware

Every freaking time one of his movies is on tv, I laugh my ass off and then feel so crappy that he is dead.

He would have been the biggest comedian-movie star if he had lived, no doubt about that.

Shame really, he was SO funny.

Chris Farley was the man. He had the greatest reactions to situations. Tommy Boy was on tv earlier and I had to watch it.

I wish the guy were still around. Even 10+ years after his death, I still can't believe the guy's dead. :(

Brilliant character. Probably my favorite, but followed by many many close seconds. Poor guy though. I heard that his esteem issues with having "what doctors call a little bit of a weight problem" made him turn to those drugs and that maybe his O.D. was a successful attempt.

Guy had talent not all his films were funny but he usually made the best with material given to him. Shame he decided to self medicate with drugs :(

He was great; whenever I would get bored in class and there was nothing to talk about my conversation starter with someone would be, "If you could bring back one dead celebrity, who would it be?" and mine was always Chris Farley.

I forgot what movie I saw him in, but someone pointed out Chris Farley's brother to me on screen recently, and holy shit the similarity is shocking.

^^^Mr. Pibb is a copy of Dr. Pepper, but not as good because he didn't get his degree.

Best sketch in snl history.

I would have to say best Farley sketch ever...too many classic SNL skits to say its the best ever, maybe all time top 10, but I agree this classic! I like it when he flexes his arms at the end of the dance off.

I read an interview with Dan Akroyd a few years ago, and he said he wanted to have Farley play a new ghost buster, in Ghost Busters 3. Just the thought of Chris Farley firing a proton pack makes me laugh, and then I get sad. :(

Gotta admt. Never was a big, big fan of Farley but I did find some of his work enjoyable. He probably would've went on to be a big, big star. Then again he might've ended up like Eddie Murphy.

As someone else mentioned, John Candy was another guy that was taken before his time. He probably wouldnt have been much bigger a star than he was but he probably would've stuck around. His heyday was moreso the 80s/early early 90s.

John Ritter was also another big loss. Some say his death could've been prevented with better warning or dianosis. Whether or not thats true I dont know.
