View Full Version : Freaky shit happened in the H78 household last night

So last night I'm laying in bed with my bedroom door open. The way my head was laying on my pillow I could see my kitchen, which is on the opposite side of the living room from my bedroom. In other words, when my bedroom door is open, I can see the kitchen from where my head lays on my bed.

Anyways, I'm laying in bed, staring over toward the kitchen while I was laying down. All the lights in my apartment were off.

As I'm staring out, waiting for my body to get tired enough to fall asleep, the whole kitchen suddenly gets all lit up. I could tell by the amount of light in the kitchen that it was the bathroom light that turned on and was illuminating the kitchen (my bathroom is at the far end of my kitchen, which is just out of eyesight from my bed, but I could still see the light).

So when I noticed the light I figured my roommate went to the bathroom to brush his teeth or something (he couldn't be doing anything else because the light suggested the door was open). I was kinda freaked out because even though it was dark, I didn't see anyone pass my line of vision when I was laying down, which they would have to do in order to get to the bathroom. Basically, I figured it was just too dark for me to notice him going into the bathroom.

As I laid on my bed, though, I kept my eyes open to see if my roommate was going to come out of the kitchen (and thus the bathroom). After about 5 minutes though, no one came out. Also, I never heard any water running, which there would have been if he was in there brushing his teeth.

So I got up, crossed my living room, entered the kitchen, and turned to my right to get into the bathroom. No one was in the fucking thing. I almost shit my pants.

Freaked out, I just shut the light off and went to back to bed (this time with my door shut, I was pretty spooked). I have no idea how that freekin' light could have turned on.

I don't even believe in ghosts or spirits or any of that shit, but I've got to admit, I have no explanation as to how that could have happened last night. :shakes:

Any of you had any weird shit like that happen lately?

Well, not lately, this happened to my dad years ago. No one else was home because my sister and I were at my grandparent's house, and my mom was staying with some friend (because it was about around the time the divorce was going on). So, my dad was in his bed, not asleep yet, and our cat was sleeping right next to him. There was no lights in the house on, just the light coming through the windows. My dad had told me he had rolled over to where he could see the door, and there was a figure standing in the doorway. He told me this was the only time in his life that he was scared still. After a few second, he rolled over to get out of bed and grab something to defend himself with. The figure was gone then. He looked all around the house, and there was nothing, and all the doors and windows were still locked.

I can't really say I remember anything like this happening in that old house.

Nice H78:thumbup:. Keep your door open, to see if it happens again, and or ask your roommate if he has seen, or heard anything weird.

uh oh! call TAPS!

Seriously though, it was probably just an electrical thing. It happens occasionally. Although its a creepy situation to be in. But them ghosts aint there to hurt ya! Well if you watch Ghost Hunters anyway. I think it'd be cool to have ghosts, long as they weren't mean or anything.

I wouldn't be to worried. When I was a kid my parent's bought a double murder, suicide house. They didn't know when they bought it. But all the house would do is turn on lights, open doors, and sound like someone was running up and down the stairs. No biggie.

I never sleep with my door open, I can't sleep anywhere if a door is open or in a open area... I'm so paranoid when it comes to sleepin'. Anyways, my closet light always turns on by itself.

When I was a kid we rented a house where a mother murdered her husband, kids, and then herself. It was kind of weird living there, but nothing out of the ordinary ever happened...

You can learn to live with a lot of things if you have to, hell in the beginning my mother was disabled and took naps during the day, she would hear someone running up and down the steps and slept with a hand gun next to her bed. My step father and I thought she was going crazy until it started happening to us. It all stopped though after my baby sister was born. I was about 14, my step pops, and I were sleeping in the middle of the night and my baby sis started crying in her room, my mother went down to fix her a bottle and in the baby monitor she heard a man's voice say "Are you cold." That was the last thing to happen except a few years ago before they moved my baby sister around 7 years old started talking about her angel friend Barbara (the name of the woman who was murdered) and that same day Barbara's daughter stopped by to show her kids the house she grew up in.

Interesting story H78, see if it happens again. sounds like it could be an isolated incident of weirdness, if it happens again then you'll know you might have a ghost in yer apartment.

BTW, your sketch there is quite amusing, hope the schlong pic isnt to scale :D

Hmm...not sure how I forgot to mention this, but I remember I fell asleep in the living room once with the tv on when no one was home. When I woke up, the tv was turned off, and I rolled over and saw this:

Just tell the ghost that the next time it needs to take a piss at night make sure it remembers to shut the light off when it's done. Electricity isn't free. :D

when I was little, I used to live at my grandmas house. and I had like family on every corner. One of my cousins lived right across the street, another across the street about a house away and another right next door. Gettting to the point, my cousin Freddy and his fam always thought a Chucky mask they used to have was haunted. it was always appear and dissappear on its own or move by itself. I never believed it, i always called bullshit because they always tried to scare me. well one day I was spending the night and I never seen this Chucky mask before and we were just coming into his house and headed to his room and the mask happened to be on one of his bedposts. that shit was ugly and really creepy looking. he said that he had put the mask in his closet and didnt know how it got there. he asked his mom and dad who were down the hall if they moved it they said no. we were like whatever, so we chilled watching tv on his bed. out of nowhere the mask on the bedpost began to spin by itself, real fast. about the same time my aunt who was watching TV in her room, heard someone whisper in her ear "hey". she turned thikning it was my uncle but he was sound asleep. just then her bed began to shake like crazy she screaemd and my uncle woke to find the bed shaking. just then me and my cousin were scared out of our minds runningo into the room to see the bed shaking. aunt and unc jumped off the bed and we all ran outside. I was pretty shaken by what happened for a good while. they always said the house was haunted, they would hear dishes and other stuff moving and whatnot and hear footsteps at night but they never seen anything. they said after that nothing ever happened again. Ive never gone back to the house

I don't really believe in ghosts and shit. This past week freaky shit has been happening in my house. I was sitting downstairs on my computer. From here I can see the door to the stairs. Anyways the door was wide open, it is about 2:00 am in the morning. The door just slams shut, it nearly scared the shit out of me. No explanation for that.

Next night I heard people walking down the hall from my bedroom. I get up, its 4:00am. Open my door nobody is there. Kick open my brothers door (his door is broken so I always kick it open for shits and giggles). He was sound asleep until I busted in there scaring the shit out of him. My parents were sleeping too. Gonna call the Ghostbusters.
