This is a CGI feature film from Capcom based in the video game world of Resident Evil so the story of this movie will be canon to the series with the actual characters from the series.

So again, not a game. This is a movie. Beyond that, as far as I know this movie will be released theatrically in Japan but only Blu Ray/DVD in the US.

Capcom still hasnt announced whether or nto it will be released in theaters here, it MIGHT get a limited theatrical, which I'm hoping for, because I know there will be at least 1 theater in Seattle playing it. But yes a release date and some more info would be nice

Interesting to see the end of that trailer there. That monster model shares a few appearance aspects with the g-virus baddie from RE2, such as the eye in the arm.

Time will tell if this redeems the series in the movie aspects or joins the other three films in "get cash by screwing a loved game name" pile of crap films.

I'm digging it thus far. Great idea, and I'm stoked that they decided to go with Leon and Clair from my favorite Resident Evil game as the main characters.

Looks like they may do better with a full CGI film then many can do with an actual actors.

I can't wait for the movie and I'm one of the few that is happy that the movie looks like it's a CG video from the game....

Because it'll going to have the Resident Evil game feel to it. :)
