heard about this at e3...
but im confused...was this being shown during the demos at e3? if so its still not that responsive apparently

what was the old controller?

I don't think there was any demos at E3, in fact this video is the first video demo direct from the developer to entice game makers. They mentioned it at E3 and showed the actual device but as of yet there are no games that employ the Motion Plus.

If you watch the video you will see how responsive it really is, its quite amazing.

yeah i saw the demo that the lady was doing
i guess i just assumed that the other games they showed during the demo would be used with the wiimotion plus

No current games in production use the WiiMotion Plus, they just opened the technology to developers, any games you saw at E3 do not use the MotionPlus.

should have come with the Wii in the first place, at least now they can charge people 20-30 dollars for this "addon"

Yeah. That's one place where the Wii is really starting to suck. You can get a basic unit for relatively cheap, but the add-ons are hell. I have two nunchucks and a classic controller -- could have gotten some games instead.

But if it will mean the chance to be more active, then I'll probably throw more money at N's direction.

But no, I need to buy another control, 2 more nunchucks, a fucking charing stand, 2 god damned zappers if i wanna play a shooter decently! I'm tired of all this shit you need to play a god damned game. And it's after you get all this shit that you realize, THERE ARE NO FUCKING GAMES!

No one is making you buy the addons. Most just add to the experience which is what Nintendo is about, getting away from the typical two handed controller that has been the status quo for numerous years. At least they are pushing the envelope and making games more intuitive and interesting to play. If you feel compelled to buy EVERY addon for the Wii then that's your prerogative, me I pick and choose.

I agree and actually very much on their side when it comes to pushing the envelope. I love the new modes of play. But things like the nunchucks and the charger should just come standard with the stupid system. The zapper, yeah that's all me. But the other shit should come with the damn thing.
