Q's on the Dark Tower

Hey guys, I have a few q's about the Dark Tower...

Is the Crimson King the one who is the "master" of the tower? Is he good or bad?

I always thought that Randall Flagg was "the devil" and the one who is trying to stop Roland from going to the tower.

All in all, why is Roland going to the tower anyways? What is it's purpose?
