How do you delete programs such as yahoo messenger and paltalk when yahoo messenger isn't listed under add or remove on your computer or you get a popup saying you can't uninstall paltalk?

They slow down my computer.
The only way they can slow down your computer is if they are running in the background taking up resources. Which you can easily take off via ctl+atl+del or through system configuration to prevent future loading at startup

A tech guy came from the local provider today because we had problems with the internet last night with it saying something was unplugged. Well, he found something loose, but not unplugged and told me the icon by the time with the 2 computers and the red x was because my computer has wireless internet and if its not plugged it, it will always show that. Thing is he couldn’t explain why it showed that when it was plugged in. But assured me nothing was wrong. He isn’t an IT guy so he has no idea how to delete programs that won’t delete or how to make my computer faster, he suggested knowing someone who knows a lot about computers.
So I shouldn’t be worried right? With the icon with the x saying “local area connection: a network cable is unplugged”?

I guess when I am down at school I can ask around to see if people know how to delete programs and make it faster.

Maybe your comp has two ethernet outlets? Mine does so it says that, but there's a way to turn it off, so it doesn't show in the bottom anymore. I think you have to right click and go to properties or something, can't remember. If your net works then it doesn't matter.

He couldn't explain to me why it showed it when plugged in or that why a system restore is bad.
I did a restore to use the internet and it worked, but he said it was fine...I have heard people in the past say don't restore.

I feel like a fucking moron because apparently its always been there. That my computer was never hooked up to the modem, that the printer was, but not the computer. I thought it was hooked up to the internet, but it was always wireless lol.
