Okay, so its not a follow up to the zombiefied heroes being transported to the original universe, but it takes place in the 5 year period between the zombies eating Galactus and Black Panther and the other survivors coming down to Earth in the first MZ title. So I think we can be sure they'll be a MZ 4 next year, following the events of MZ 2. I'm a little skeptical because neither Kirkman or Layman is writing it, but this picture and quote make me shit my pants with excitement.

In fact, Van Lente has challenged himself to outdo Robert Kirkman when it comes to gore. "The opening scene is without a debt the most disturbing thing I've ever written," Van Lente laughed. "Or at least it was until I wrote the second issue."
