You all have heard about it. The film made in the style of films like "Cloverfield" and "The Blair Witch Project". This is the film that I can honestly say delivers.

PLOT:
Angela and her cameraman are filming a segment about the local fire department for a program called "While You where Sleeping" when they receive a call from a local apartment block from a lady in distress. When they get there all hell breaks loose and they become trapped in the building with no foreseen help from the outside world.

I went into this movie expecting it to be Cloverfield with zombies. What I got was so much more then that. It is a film that builds tension with likable characters and a truly scary atmosphere. The final fifteen or so minutes can easily be considered some of the scariest stuff ever put on film. The end leaves the viewer satisfied and (If your like me) absolutely terrified.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
While boasting a simple premise [REC] manages to do what many films now-a-days cant. It manages to frighten the audience. This film could easily become a modern classic.
8/10

--------

I was truly bored tonight.

Really good flick. For those who have region-free players, you can purchase the 2-disc UK edition, since it's already available to own in Europe.

Already got mine. It's gonna take a while before it gets released here in the States. It still irritates me that the remake is coming out before the original gets released on DVD. :dsp:

Even though I didn't expect Cloverfield, I agree with the review otherwise.

I want to see this. The trailer didn't look all that good to me but from the reviews it seems it's pretty good. I might have to check it out after all.

One of my favorite horror films of all time!

So well done, builds tension quite nicely, and actually terrified me by the end!

My 24 year old brother had to cover his face for the entire last 10 minutes.
