Prince of Horror

Okay so I am still reviewing movies on the teen years. This one happened to come out late, in the 99's. This is a sequel to the very awesome horror hit Carrie, which is a cult classic, unlike this.
The story centers Rachel Lang, a girl who is much like Carrie herself, who is in foster care after her mother was put away some years ago. Everything seems to be going good for her untli she gets caught up in the middle of a prank between some jocks and her best friend, who later commits suicide, sweet scene. After Rachel goes to the authorities and tells them what the jocks have done, they set out to embarrass her, but little do this now that she has telekinetic powers that are very deadly.
Okay, lets get the bad out the way first. The movie isn't bad but cliched as we get this girl falling in love with some kid who is much richer and more known than she is, which is the standard teenagers falling in love with each other story, and the fact that it takes them at least and hour and something before she really starts using her powers.
Now when it comes down to gore, this movie has it, as we witness a guy getting his balls pulled of with a harpoon, people being burned to death, decapitations, etc. I also found the characterization good, which we get to know the Carrie character well. We have our standard group of characters as well, particularly three: The Jocks, Bitches, and Misfits.
You know this movie is good, but it's nowhere near the original, so that is why I give this movie a 7, though the pacing was slow it was interesting and we get a little T&A, along with some interesting characters. I know some of you may disagree but I enjoyed it.
Also Rachel has a badass transformation when she snaps.
