I forgot what the reason was when my friend was bitchin' about going to pick up a new game and the store saying they won't carry it until another day or two. Why are all games like that? A release date is set, but when you go on that day to pick it up, the stores don't carry it? I know I asked this question a while back, but I don't remember the answer.

Like my friend was saying, who da F cares about the ship date? Why don't they just slap an actual release date like they do with DVDs?

I got GTA IV at midnight on it's release date, still in the box behind the counter. I got the very first copy.

Maybe huge releases like that come in on time, which also brings me to my point about games not coming out when they're supposed to. I dunno why they can't just give a game an actual release date like they do with DVDs and people can go on that day to pick it up
