Got it. And trying to split playtime between it and the other recent additions to my collection.

About ready to slap the chick from crater-side supplies. Her stupid book ideas are going to get me killed yet.

Only way into DC (to radio station) is through some underground means, at least thats what one of the load screens said. Personally haven't tried cause I am still visiting a few side areas added to my map after dropping that West girl's letter off to her brother. Course, dying when I decided to visit the destroyed military base due to the mercs that live there ate up alot of my play time for today. :shakes:

The game is great, if you like this kind of game. Couple folks I know are having problems with it, but after filtering their whining it boiled down to they are not into this type of game. I'm having fun with it.

Thier attempt at a new targeting system is quite impressive. My only real complaint is the rate in which weapons break down, but considering its a nuked out wasteland you cannot expect long-term weaponry anyways. Firing teddy bears at critters and folks with a big gun makes up for it though.

Man I really want this game. I'm having to prioritize though (trying to save money for my wedding), and GoW2 is hitting shelves next week.

Game looks incredibly awesome, though. All my friends that have it can't even stop playing it long enough for some CoD4 matches with me :(

Great game. I'm level 4 as well. I'm focusing on small arms, science, lockpicks, and something else. I went gun nut and educated. I seemed to be doing fine thus far. The maps could be better. I don't know. I feel like I'm playing Stalker/Oblivion in a fallout setting.

Repair skill seems like a must I'm guessing? I still don't understand everything yet but I'll get there. I'm already having weight limit issues :/ and stores being closed sucks.

Game is about 100 hrs long, 20 or so hour main storyline. You level about the speed of an mmo only because the world is huge and empty and you walk slow as hell. You get like 4 to 11xp per kill.

I'm level 7 in the Rivet City. Anyone do the Replicated Man quest? I'm trying to find out who stole the Andriod. I broke in and talked to the Dr. but says I still need clues for Zimmerman. God, this reminds me of the painted carpet/Stolen painting quest in Oblivion.

More time in...

I now own a house in Magaton (disarm the bomb) and closing in on level 8. Hit up alot of spots in the north/northwest area of the map and just started making ventures into D.C.

Haven't been to Rivet City yet, still working for that crater side supplies chick and her quests designed to end my life. But one of her quests, the one about mole rats, lead me to some sewers that allowed me to enter D.C. for the first time. Super mutants hurt... For the folks venturing into D.C., check out the museum, "city" of mildly friendly ghouls in there.

Split my skill attention between repair, lockpicking, and speech. The weapon skills are nice and all, but I haven't had problems killing anything yet as long as I watch my surroundings and get the drop on baddies. Even been clearing groups of 5+ super mutants with little problems, just a matter of proper weapon and good use of VATS. The Perks have me scratching me head at times... the choices are tough.

First encounter with the Brotherhood of Steel was a "duh" moment. Got so trigger happy from raiders and mutants earlier that I shot a brotherhood paladin by accident... boy was that stupid.

Its funny how the money in nuke-out future world is bottle caps. Its annoying that the vendors tend to have less money than you so its interesting amassing any real funding. Especially irritating once you get a house and start looking at the stuff you can buy for it (your own soda machine, in-home medic station, ect).

Have not done a thing for the 'main' story after talking to the bartender about the radio station after you leave the Vault and honestly, I don't care. They definately got the open-world, "do whatever you want" theme down packed.

I am a little disappointed in some of the animations. Jumping, when in 3rd person view, looks odd for example. They are small points though, nothing that really hurts the overall game. Some of the slow-motion scenes with VATS are sweet kill-shots, so it balances out.

Good game to killed 100+ hours of your life. And the heavy use of auto-saving makes sure the game does not waste too much of your life repeating yourself.

Just started playing, just left the vault and hit level 2. Love how you follow the guy right from outta the womb and you learn stuff as you age. Pretty unique way to learn what to do :thumbup3:

Hopefully I chose all the right skills and what-not, I usually end up regretting what I choose in these types of games, but I spent a while reading up on the stuff, so hopefully that won't be the case here.

I dunno if I was supposed to kill that Amata chicks dad or not (Overseeer), but I went in the room swinging and ended up killin' his ass.

So what are some of the best and/or most useful weapons that I should look out for? Lasers used a lot? I notice there's a specific skill for it. :hmmm:

10-31-2008, 10:16 PM
:smokin2: i didnt up the weapons skills much, still killin easy at lvl 8. lock picking is needed....that being said i got the bomb difused, letter sent and almost got that book finished for that bitch in the town with the bomb forgot the name:ahheh:...about to go into DC to get to that town in the bottom corner to finish my mission...may hit up the radio tower while i am there its in the same area:cooldude:

11-01-2008, 05:09 AM
WTF, I've been playing for like 4 hours and I still haven't gotten a mission aside from going to a nearby town to search for my Dad? I walked all around the area and ended up just wasting mofos left and right and I'm still exploring the place. I either missed the town or I haven't reached it yet

And, I suck at lockpicking. I still don't really understand how to do it without forcing the lock. I guess I just need to read up on it more. On the plus side, I have a dog :thumbup3:

Misfit
11-01-2008, 08:04 AM
that town with the bomb where you looked for your dad go around talking to people to get missions.should have gotten offered one when you entered the town to disarm the bomb and if you go to the bar you will get one to blow the bomb up.(if you decide to blow it up you lose the town and the missions in it) lucy west will send you on one which leads to another one and a chick in the supply place will send you on a bunch to research a book while doing that mission you will run into a boy at the super duper mart that will offer you another one...and a dog wtf?:hmmm:

FrighT MasteR
11-01-2008, 01:52 PM
Yeah, I figured that and the lockpicking thing out sometime after my last post. What kind of reward do you get if you blow up the town?

I did so much exploring that I'm pretty loaded with weapons, so I think I got ahead of myself. Hopefully that'll make the actual mission objectives a bit easier, and I'm also hoping that I didn't kill any important people along the way :ahheh:

You can find the dog in the scrapyard, which I think is North East to where the vault is. He's pretty useful, because he not only attacks people, but you can get him to search for ammo, food, and weapons :downlow:

Misfit
11-01-2008, 01:56 PM
:smokin2: gonna have to get that dog before i do that mission in DC. if you save the town which i did you get a house but you turn down the other offer and hitmen get sent out after you...if you blow it up you get a suite in moneymaker tower (i think thats what its called). but get bounty hunters sent out after you.........i havent seen the tower yet though:greetings:

Misfit
11-01-2008, 01:58 PM
:hmmm: still trying to figure out how to make your own weapons...in a video i seen the railway gun that shoots rail spikes:cooldude:

FrighT MasteR
11-01-2008, 02:02 PM
That explains all the railspikes I've seen. If you go to certain locations there's like a machine of some sort that's used to make weapons. You can usually find it in a scraps/parts area of the town. When you activate it, it'll tell you what you can make and what you need to make it. Pretty easy, however, finding the stuff and lugging it around isn't.

I went to the family hideout where I got this sweet sword that's on fire. You can make it with the right items too :thumbup3:

I think I'm gonna pass on blowing up the town then, I don't really care about some suite and I don't want mofos coming after me.

What's up with Karma? If I get a lot of bad Karma I don't get helped much I assume?

Busy few days... Anyways, here's some info.

Brotherhood of Steel armor: Can only get certified to wear it by talking to the Brotherhood's big boss in a place called Citadel. Its along the river to the west of DC ruins, sort of west/northwest of Rivet City.

Making weapons: Need schematic first, hard to find these things... usually quest rewards or rare sell items. The chick in craterside supplies has the schematic for a 'rock-it launcher', its a gun that fires any junk item you can pick up: plates, teddy bear, tin cans, rail spikes, whatever (does decent damage, did target practice on some raiders myself with some plates and clipboards). To MAKE weapons, you need the schematic, the items listed in the schem, and a work bench. There is a work bench in the craterside supply store, blue bench deal with some tools and vices on it, she lets you use it for free. Later on, after you get a house (defuse Megaton's bomb), you can buy a bench for your house.

Family: Not completely a bad thing to wack them. Far as I can tell, they are only involved in the West family quest. However, not killing them and helping them strike a deal with that one village will lead to the Family leader teaching you better uses of "Blood Pack" health items so you get more bang for your buck.

Skills: Forget weapon skills. I've been clearing groups of super mutants and mercs and I don't have points in any weapon skill. Focus on your utility skills such as lockpicking, repair, science. medicine. Mostly whatever floats your boat, if you like picking pockets go sneak and such. You like making weapons and reprograming robots, go science/repair. Just remember its a lvl 20 max, so spreading your points too thin will limit you from high end stuff. Focusing on 3-4 skills is my advice. I'm a lockpick/speech/repair person myself. I enjoy picking locks, helps with self-repairing weapons and the start condition of weapons I make, and opens up more dialog (sometimes quest related and helpful) with NPCs.

Overseer: Your guess is as good as mine. Cannot tell if you go back to 101 in the storyline. *shrug*

Crater side supply: Her survival guide quests, do the optional as well cause it gives bonus rewards over doing the basics.

Watch yourself: Too good, too bad (karma) leads to contracts on your radiated butt. Took out several Talon merc squads sent after me already. Fun stuff.

Megaton and Rivet City are the 'major' quest hubs, far as I've seen so far (granted, I have not gone far in the main story). Other smaller towns generally have 2-3 quests, useful for leveling and exploration, but I keep finding myself back in my house in Megaton.

Survival tips:
Sneak - Even if you have zero points spent on sneak, remember its still there. The hidden/detected/caution/danger indicator that appears on the top of your screen during sneak is a PERFECT 360 degree early warning system.
VATS - When out and about, tap it now and then. You won't be able to shoot anything beyond a certain distance, sure, but it will definately point out any possible baddie in front of your long before they start taking pop shots at you.
3rd person/1st person - I bounce between these alot. 3rd person is great for exploration in open spaces or looking around corners without exposing a body part. 1st person is great for those in-door/hallway setups, looking at what may be on shelves, or noticing that very shiny mine in front of you before you trigger it.

Hope this helps, have fun folks.

Outside of temp health item buffs... not to my knowledge. But I am nowhere near 20, so don't count that as fact.

Might be a "duh" statement but, look around you as much as possible. There are books in areas that are +1 skill points to certain skills if you read them. Found one for energy weapons, lockpicking, and sneaking so far myself.

Got one thing to say about Perks: don't take the +10% exp one, its a waste. There is PLENTY of stuff to kill or use skills on to gain exp that you don't need to waste a perk point on boosting exp gain.

And the "rock-it" launcher is freaking hilarious. Nothing says "owned" like being killed by a volley of teddy bears flying at you at 50mph.

Not yet, I keep getting side-tracked man. The vault I need to check out is so far to the west and I keep stopping at certain locations to look for items, so it really throws me off.

On the plus side, I've got a crapload of caps saved up and I've been leveling like crazy from all the exploring, so when I finally do the regular story-missions it should be pretty smooth sailing :smokin2:

How much $$ do you have and did you pick up any good weapons yet?

I forgot how much caps I have, but I think it's around $8k, and I got the Lincoln Repeater, Shishkebab, and some kind of Power Glove (which I sold), and just made that Railway Gun. I saw a video of someone using some kind of melee chainsaw weapon called "The Ripper" or something along those lines. I wanna get that, but I'm not quite sure how :hmmm:

Misfit
11-03-2008, 05:41 PM
i got a ripper you can pick it up randomly off of people....i got "the terrible shotgun", dunno why its called that got it from a merchant that i killed. a reservist rifle,rock-it launcher and i got a fat man, the rest it pretty standard weapons...i spent most if not all my caps on items..still need the railway gun i need to do more side quests dont have much done, i can also now wear power armor...

it all comes together once you do the vault 112 mission which i think your on now but then you have to deal with the enclave which are brutal

FrighT MasteR
11-03-2008, 05:49 PM
Oh yeah, I have "The Misfit," I mean, the "Fat Man" as well :ahheh:

Really enjoying my time on this game. Currently wearing the +sneak hat and +sneak recon armor. My favorite weapons are the sniper rifle, chinese assault rifle, and that shotgun for killing the merchant. I store a large number of various weapons in my house, but those 3 cover most needs quite well.

My house in Megaton... Anything you store in desks and such in your house STAYS there. No need to worry about things wandering off like things placed in containers out in the world. Great place to store surplus weapons, ammo, armor, ect to save weight limits on-person. Also got my house FULLY decked out. Got the vending machine, medical station, tool bench, even got a scient theme for decorations. Yea, it costs a lot of caps but their bonuses are rather useful. The vending machine turns nuka-cola into ice-cold nuka-cola, doubles the healing power for same radiation. The medical station heals radiation and can be set to generate medical items once per day. Useful things like that.

Think I have discovered 46 locations and sitting around level 13 or 14. Lockpicking, speech, and repair are maxed out. Repairing weapons in the field is so cost-effective now-a-days. Too bad its hard to find armor to part out to repair my recon armor and hat. But at least I find alot of weapons to tear up to keep my guns at 90%+ condition. hehe

Where are the Tenpenny Towers? Been looking for that place ever since I wacked the moron in the bar in Megaton and broke into his house. On the same note, anyone know where Lighthouse is? I think its Lighthouse... whatever the town is that folks in Big Town say they came from. I cannot remember the name right now.

Anyone finished the 'collect 30 quadrum cola' quest for that soda addict chick? Collected about 20 myself. Plan to kill her and loot all her soda after I finish the quest and she gives me that bomb schematic reward. There is just way too many nuka-cola in her house to pass up after that quest is over.

Anyone just starting out: Big discoverying suggestion... Follow the 'old roads'. Alot of the discoverable locations are basically old buildings refitted and the best way to find old buildings is to track old roads. Doesn't cover every location, obviously, but does give you a solid selection to explore.

I'm barely doing quests, but I did finish that exploring one that the weird chick in Megaton gives you to help complete her book. How do you get a house? I must've missed that quest. I've seen it in Megaton, but I can't get in it. Hopefully I didn't kill the quest giver :ahheh:

Tenpenny Tower is South West of Megaton, next to that Robotech place that the book lady last sends you to. It's a really high thin hotel building, you can't miss it if you do that last thing for the book lady. :thumbup3:

Possible Housing Options:

A - Metaton house (the one I took). You talk to the major/boss black guy in cowboy hat and take the quest to disarm the nuke in the center of town for free (no caps). Disarm the bomb and talk to him (skill required should be obvious). House deed, key, and a robo-housekeeper for house is reward, a bonus in itself as a safe bed and place to store gear without fear. Plus, he opens up house items to buy at Crater side supplies (the medical station, vending machine, ect)... expensive, but worth it. The housekeeper robot tells jokes, gives some med items on request, and explains the functions of anything you buy for your house (vending machine, ect).

B - TenPenny Towers Apartment (did not take this option, but was told about it by a guy that works at a local GameStop). Take the quest from the moron in the bar in Megaton to turn on the nuke in center of town. This blows up Megaton, it no longer appears on map, and obviously ends any chance of visiting any clinics, shops, or quests in Megaton. But, you get an apartment in the Towers and friendly behavior with the Towers folk. Logic suggests you would have an option in the Tower to buy housing materials for your apartment.

Megaton is easy to enter. Find where the robot is outside chatting away and move towards the large pieces of metal behind him, they will slide open as you approach. Enter the doors you see beyond the metal pieces. The major cowboy guy approaches you as soon as you enter the town for the first time.

If you do nothing else, the Crater side supplies is a nice place to trade and pick up ammo and such. Oh, a quick and simple cash flow setup is talk to the guy that works the water treatment plant, Walter. If you fix the 3 leaky pipes around town, he'll offer to buy scrap metal from you. Every time you sell him scrap metal, it pays caps and exp... every time. I have generated quite a bit of caps and exp simply clean sweeping robot baddies and selling scraps to him.

Thanks for Tower location, I'll find it later.

Well I guess I'm not gonna have a house, because that Cowboy was killed by that dumbass dude that tried to hire me to blow up Megaton. After I squealed on him to the Cowboy/Sheriff, the dude busted out some silencer and iced him in the back :dsp:

Yea, that guy killing the sherrif is a possible outcome. Seen it myself. Thats why I saved prior to talking to sherrif and after seeing that I reloaded, killed the moron myself and went on with my merry way. Using several save files to back up before possible big choices is a long-standing personal habbit with me. *shrug* House is not vital, useful maybe. Most of its benefits can be found elsewhere, but elsewhere costs caps.

Had an hunch that the 'get paid' option also gave you a house in the disarm bomb quest, but I only knew for fact the way I went. Good to know for next run through. hehe

There might be other ways to get a house, but I haven't found any so far. Given the fact that I have only found around 40 locations, I am likely missing alot of opportunities. Every time I try to location-scout, I get side track shooting something. I am addicted to those slow motion shots. :2hguns:

On another note, finally got that power armor. Not all that great. Aside from the extra strength it offers, the stats as good as I expected. The fact that it has negative agility is a problem for me, since I use guns a lot and don't have enough points in sneak as-is. I actually ended up just sticking with my Ranger armor instead. Better stats (in my opinion) and pretty much offers the same damage resistance.

Well, my dog finally died. He disappeared on me while I was raiding some place and before I knew it, I saw the message about him being dead :myhead:

Picked up a sweet new weapon called the Terrible Shotgun that does like 105 damage :gunner: You can find it in Evergreen Hills if anyone's interested in picking it up. Some named dude in the armory area underground sports it.

I also got a nice little mind-control-type device off of some slaver from Paradise Falls, which is handy if you wanna jack someone's stuff, but don't want to cause a scene. Of course I killed all the slavers afterwards :smokin2:

Beat the mofo game earlier. Pretty sweet climax; the ending itself was aight. I might load up an old save or something later since there's still a lot of the map I didn't get to explore.

Looks like the karma thing really didn't matter after all, aside from being able to ally with some interesting people throughout the game, but having allies isn't really necessary if you know how to handle mobs.

Items did get a bit repetitive after a while for me since I did so much exploring I kept seeing the same things pop up. By the time the credits rolled I had like $14k in caps, and a crapload of all kinds of meds, ammo, and guns.

Only had a couple probs with the game --

The main story is way too thin. Go here, go here, then boom, you're done. It's really all about the exploring, which isn't a bad thing since I like to explore, but it would have been nice if the storyline was a little thicker and longer. The side-quests are interesting, and at times seemed longer than the main one.

Other prob is the combat system, which could have been tweaked a bit. The AI is decent, but nothing special. It would have been cool if you could crouch behind something, but I suppose with VATS it's not a big deal to handle large mobs. I also didn't really like exploring all those boring underground subway tunnels downtown. It just seemed like the same stuff over and over again.

I would've also liked to have used the "Fat Man" more often, but there were only a couple parts in the game where it seemed necessary.

Fav. weps were prob the Chinese Assault Rifle, Scoped Magnum and that Terrible Shotgun. Fat Man too, of course. I heard there was a cool unique rifle in the game, but I never found it. :shrugs:

Anyone else beat it yet?

slimeisacharacter
11-09-2008, 01:57 AM
Umm, what you mean crouch behind something? If its what I think you mean, you could. You can use VATS in sneak mode, closest thing to cover-fire you'll get.

FrighT MasteR
11-09-2008, 02:01 AM
Exactly why I said it's not really necessary with VATS, but it would've been nice to use that tactic when overrun by mobs and not enough AP for VATS. Though, you never really get overrun in the game either, which would have been a nice challenge :shrugs:

Picked up alot of weapons in my trips. I'm stuck on the minigun and the reservist's sniper rifle for fun time. Minigun is a sexy beast, though I blow through ammo like crazy. Sniper rifle, always enjoyed a well placed head shot. I'll look through the strat guide's weapon section later and see if anything stands out.

FrighT MasteR
11-10-2008, 09:21 PM
Never really used the minigun much; didn't like how it took a lil' to start up and I don't like heavy guns to begin with. I think the shotgun is one of my mostly-used weapons. I read that some gamers are trying to go all melee, which seems like it might be a bit tricky in certain situations.

Rented it a week or so back and was sucked into it like a vortex. One addictive and awesome game! I eventually beat it, but really wish I had more time with it. There's always those little mini-quest type things you just stumble upon while exploring that make you want to just keep going. Like stumbling upon that town of cannibals, then figuring a way into the shed and being given the option of either approving of their flesh eating ways - or blowing them all away. I'm going to have to buy it and see if I have any saves right before the last mission so I can go back to exploring!

FrighT MasteR
11-29-2008, 08:01 PM
I'm still finding new places after beating the game. It's pretty amazing how much they put in the zone. Got the game for Christmas and I'm around level 7 right now. Killer game so far, but I wish I had more AP for use in the V.A.T.S. targeting system. Some weapons like the shotgun only let me fire twice in V.A.T.S. and it's starting to annoy me.

...anybody else made the custom shishkabob weapon yet? It's pretty badass. You need a pilot light from a stove, a motorcycle handbrake, and a lawnmower blade to make it. from what I remember, they are in an underground train station. You'll meet 2 friendly ghouls prior to getting to the family. When you're done talking to the friendly ghouls, there's a sewer manhole in the corner of their room. That leads you to the Family's chamber if I'm not mistaken.

...After dealing with the Family, they showed me the ways of the vampire. Now when I drink blood packs, I get an extra 20 health points instead of just 1! Pretty cool stuff.

FYI (for you Xbox 360 users only), there are going to be 3 downloadable content packages for Fallout 3. One pack includes a whole new city to dismantle (Pittsburgh), and another one includes Anchorage (there's reference to the Chinese taking over Alaska in Fallout 3, so I assume that's what the pack is all about). Finally, the other content pack raises your leveling up cap from 20 (default) to 30!

...and I say Xbox 360 users only because all this content is exclusive to Micro$oft's machine and Windows Vista. Sorry PS3 fans, looks like you get screwed again on a 3rd party title.

Played a lil' bit earlier to get in the mood again before the patch comes out. I've pretty much discovered everything already, with the exception of another vault, but there are some areas of the map that look a bit empty that I need to check out to make sure I didn't miss anything :smokin2:

Yeah from the stuff they show on G4 there really shouldnt be any big empty spots on the map. When I get a chance this weekend to play some more, after i take care of The Family I'm going to look for the crashed UFO.

this game is great, except for the fact that it crashes all the time for me, so basically i've only played it like 6 hours, but from what i was able to play it was really cool.

There's a perk called the "Explorer Perk" which reveals EVERY location on the map regardless of you actually visiting the spots or not. I haven't got it, but that's just what I've heard.

I actually beat the game recently (took about 35hrs for me). However, there's a TON of stuff I still haven't seen yet and I'm only at level 16 too. I loaded one of my older saves so that I can track down all the stuff I haven't done yet (side quests, hidden things, etc).

FrighT MasteR
01-20-2009, 07:52 AM
Yeah, I've seen that perk. I'm just gonna look for a map online that reveals everything, because I'm pretty sure there are a few small spots that I've missed.

Hmm question, am I the only one who when I fast travel to a place all of sudden some dead guy comes flying out of nowhere?

Also have you guys had some people random die or dissapear on you with no cause? Because the sister of the West family's body was just laying there in the middle of Megaton. Also the guy who works in the water treatment plant has seemed to dissapear.

FrighT MasteR

I've heard of stuff like that, but I've never had bodies or people to appear or disappear before that I can remember. The only weird glitch I ever got was causing some corpse to fly back several hundred feet after killing it. Was actually pretty funny :mhehe:

I've done that were lots of dead guys go flying across the screen. Usually scares the piss out of me till I realize how funny it is.

Haha yeah everytime it happens I laugh, nothing better to make you laugh in the game then fast traveling to a place and seeing a body shooting across the sky. Although I wish the guy in the Water Treatment Plant was still around, now I have no one to sell scrap metal to. Another weird glitch happened today, as I was playing some guy ran up to me and said life was returning to The Wasteland and after he told me that he dropped dead and then his body flew away like someone blasted him out of a cannon.

what's really funny is the "Bloody Mess" perk. It causes enemie's bodies to explode at random when you get a kill shot. Hilarious in the sense that you shoot somebody in the arm with a hunting rifle...but their arms, legs, and head all explode similtaneously (sp?) in slow motion!!!

I enjoy killing all the animals! Well, except for those damned Milelurks and Rad Scorpions! Those things take a LOT of damage compared to almost every other enemy in the game!

I haven't found a Milelurk King yet however. Has anybody else fought one? What's so special about them anyway???

Just started replaying the game from scratch. I'm doing it under "Very Hard" mode since my first go-round (which was normal) was entirely too easy. So far I've done a few things differently and I hired that Jericho guy from Megaton to tag along with me, which is really helping, plus the dude can take a lot of hits.

You get access to a milling function that converts any conventional ammo to an ammo type of your choice.

For instance I traded all my shotgun shells, 10mm, 5mm, etc... rounds for 900+ rounds of .44 ammo since I almost exclusively like using Lincoln's Repeater and .44 rounds are a bitch to find.

Made a tough decision, but ended up trading in Fallout 3. As much as I absolutely loved the game, I felt like it would be an eventual money pit with all the DLC and whatnot. There's already $40 worth of DLC on XBL, and more to come.

Plus, I got a nice $28 trade in credit for it, which I promptly put towards Modern Warfare 2. :hey:
