Ok, I havent seen this myself, but another horror geek, a friend of mine has promoted it so much I want to see it.

Only scenes he remembers though, are these:

A man is put into a coffin with water in it, in an old questionable insanity-treatment way. He sees complete darkness, until the camera pans downward. He can see a hat of a nurse, and slowly her face is moving upward. Only her mouth is all distorted, showing ugly row of beast-like teeth.

Another one is a scene where a man is put into this machine which has an image of a basket-ball player (or tennis), and when the machine starts, the basket-ball player is running in the old "animation-style" of flipping 2 papers.

First I thought "hey, its gotta be The Attic!", but when I saw The Attic, it wasnt the movie, much to my disappointment.

That really, really sounds like the 1999 remake of House On Haunted Hill.

Nah, I don't remember either of those scenes from the HOHH remake.

Spoilers:
Geoffrey Rush's character, Price, is locked in a big green machine called the Isolation Chamber. There he sees the animation of Dr. Vannecut playing basketball. Price puts on a pair of goggles and begins having delusions -- one of which is the water treatment. He goes down into the water and meets the scary woman with fangs.

Effectively, just reverse the order that the original poster described the events. They're in there, and all pretty much in the same scene.

Hmmm. I honestly don't remember that part. I'll have to rewatch it. I remembered liking it enough.

Seen HOHH about 20 times and don't remember anything about a Coffin filled with water.

Replace "coffin" with "glass box." That's pretty much it.

I even have Fright on my side.

Movie had a sweet score. It's one of three horror movie scores I have ever purchased on cd.

You are correct. Don Davis (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.) is a man who knows his stuff. This is one of my favorite scores in any genre.

Oh man, thanks Luris. Putting the name down. Thanks again!

Hopefully I'll get some fancy scares from it. Haven't had any good scares since original Shutter.

Unless you count Dead Space in, but thats a game.

I enjoyed the HoHH remake, some jump scares and I really liked the setting, some good set design there if you ask me.

Plus Dr. West is in it...always a win!

it was in a huge metal chamber in the floor. Which was The House on Haunted Hill remake. The basketball scene you mentioned was the Hypnochamber.

Loved that movie, it was just a fun movie, and that is definitely the scene.
