A true loss to the literary world... I can honestly say I've never read a bad book by him... granted I've liked some more than others, but they've all been well written and kept my interest all the way through.

RIP to a truly great author....

I know what you mean. He came in under the wire and went out the same way. Great contributions, though. His "Eaters of the Dead" adaptation to film (The 13th Warrior) remains one of my all-time faves.

Never read any of his books, but from what I understand he was a terrific writer. It's a damn shame.

At least he was able to catch the end of ER.
