Well it was only a matter of time before I got to this film. This, IMO, has to be one of the greatest films to come out of the year 2003, as a matter of fact, of the decade.
The story centers around a woman, who is unknown to us in this movie, who was beaten and shot by a man named Bill and his groups of Assassins after she decides to quit the group that they call DiVAS (Deadly Viper Assassination Squad), this leads her into going into a coma.
Four years later, she wakes up out of the coma to find herself in a hospital, and her child that she was pregnated with dead. She now seats out to take revenge upon Bill and all of those involved in the killing of her friends, future husband, and child.
Now I have to say that the choreography in this film is very amazing, the fight scenes are very intense and bloody, which gives us gore fans a little eye candy. I also liked the opening sequence when Uma and Vivica go at.
The characters in the film are very interesting, especially Uma's character, who happens to be the lead, and I like Lucy Lui's character alot and GoGo. I think the most notable scene in this film is when Uma's characters goes up against the Crazy 88's, which is where we witness a lot of slicing and dicing of the legs, heads, arms, and bodies.
So this mark's one of Quentine Tarantino's best films. I give this movie an 9/10, I know that might seem a little high, but I really liked this film and was drawn in by the action and characters. There are rumors of a 3 and 4 in the works. I hope they do it right.
