I never watched any of these, but I always thought it was funny to see the shitty knock offs of new releases.

Edit: from the article it doesn't appear they are shutting them down, just suing them over a title dispute.

It's not like low budget cash ins are a new fad.

I have never watched an Asylum movie, but I hope they come through anyway. It's fun just to look at the box art and watch the occasional trailer.

Besides, it's not like the Big Names in Hollywood aren't doing the same thing. I had a laugh at seeing the mention of "A Bug's Life" in that article, since ANTZ opened at just about the same time.

The Asylum is harmless. If anything, Reeves "acting" will be the downfall of The Day the Earth Stood Still...not a little straight to DVD movie.
