While She Was Out

New flick with Kim Basinger (who surprisingly still looks good), who plays a mothers out shopping for gifts on x-mas eve when she witnesses the murder of security guard by a group of young punks at a mall parking lot. The rest of the night is played out with Kim basically trying to survive, eventually ending up in a nearby wooded area, where she whacks the dudes one by one with various items from her red toolbox.

Surprisingly decent flick. Some nice suspense, interesting story, and not a bad performance from Kim Basinger. Wasn't really buying Lukas Haas as the lead badass villain, but him and his group were okay otherwise. The deaths were also surprisingly violent and bloody. Not necessarily gory, but there are some interesting deaths for each guy. Overall, I enjoyed it. Simple, entertaining, and effective. 7/10 :thumbup3:

I agree with pretty much everything Fright said although I thought Lukas Haas was ok, the rest of his crew I thought were dummys. Pretty good ending also. Gave it 7/10

Hell this looks good. Kim Bassinger kicking some ass. Lucas Haas looks good. Nice movie to see for the holidays.

Looks very good but I wish they hadn't shown the good parts in the trailer. And was this already in theaters FrighT or did you get a screener or something? I thought it was getting a limited release like next week?

I dunno what kinda release its getting, but it hit DVD in other countries already. There's a rip out, which shouldn't be hard to find.
