Who knows of any good movies about cults? I remember the movie "Bad Dreams" had an intro with a mass suicide at a cult compound but that was the last we saw of them. Any good ones?

Steelba just took us to school. See his list.

Suicide Club does feature a couple of small groups that may be considered cults; it includes the theme but I'd be hesitant to call it a movie about cults.

And now I want to watch Lord of Illusions again.

Jim Jones was a pussy magnet I betcha...with those shades he always wore. Makin' em weak in the knees!

Also, calling the the Happening a cult movie is like saying Sarah Jessica Parker has a soul...that shit don't match up.

Is Children of the Corn even worth picking up? I watched it as a kid of course but something comes over me telling me not to get it whenever I come across it even in the cheapest of scenarios...

Cataclysm

No. Well, it's worth picking up if you enjoy watching kids acting poorly in a movie but if your going for that, you might as well just watch "Beware! Children At Play".

Yeah and in the begining they don't show much, pretty lame stuff.
The end isnt to great either, I guess the idea is what gave the film it's hype.

Eyes Wide Shut...but that sucks major taint

I don't know that I'd consider The Sentinel to be a cult movie so much as it was a possession/supernatural film. Nevertheless, it is an excellent film.

A good cult film, based on a true story, would be The Manson Family. I don't think anything I've ever read about Manson and his followers could have prepared me for this. It goes from being sexual and dreamlike at times, to violent, angry, in-your-face and unapologetic quite quickly leading up to the fateful night of the Tate murders. After viewing this, I find it near impossible to have any sympathy for the followers still in prison begging for parole. It's scary how much influence one man had over this group of people. This was the 2003 film where Phil Anselmo of Pantera plays the voice of Satan.

One I could think off the bat is Population 436

Not really about a religious cult or anything, but kinda cultish.

It's decent nonetheless, but nothing more.
