Big Brother UK and all international versions are a hit around the world, why? It’s hard to say. But the fact remains that it is. Love or hate Big Brother Dead Set is an official fictional incarnation directed by Charlie Brooker. In a nut shell the story is that a zombie outbreak occurs in the outside world, but the house-mates are unaware of the chaos outside of the Big Brother House.
The five part episodes ran on E4, but is better watched as a whole. The style of the filming is similar to the virus flicks 28 days/ 28 weeks later and Dead Set could almost be seen as a companion to the two movies.
Dead Set is bleak, bloody and full of irony as the wanna-be celeb’s have to fight for their lives.
UK past contestants including Imogen Thomas, Ziggy Lichman and Helen Adams make brief appearances. But Davina McCall steals the show playing herself and then scarily convincingly as a member of the un-dead. Some of the effects and action are horrifically realistic, at times real tension and emotion is built, over all it’s a great reflective piece of drama/horror/black comedy style of entertainment.

Maybe not put DVD either, since you're really not reviewing the DVD your reviewing the show itself.

THIS IS BIG BROTHER,PLEASE DO NOT SWEAR.
The immortal lines voiced by the person playing god on one of the most popular reality TV shows to grace our screens in recent years. It has become an institution for fans of the show and sends thrills down the spine of those who miss it when it leaves our screens.
Charlie Brooker wrote a story that would change the face of BIG BROTHER, and for Horror fans the world over, show us what would happen were there to be an apocolypse.
Pegged as 'BIG BROTHER WITH ZOMBIES', this was a show of which had never been seen before on British TV, and no one anticipated the reaction it would receive.
It starts as any episode of 'BIG..' would. With an eviction of one of the housemates and the crowd reactions that go with it.This is just a back story to start with, the main story that unfolds is an outbreak of some description, that remains unexplained.
Koolmike has written an amazing and accurate review of the show, this is just a review of the features on the dvd.
There are 16 featurettes altogether including interviews with the cast and crew, writer and director, make up featurettes, deleted and extended scenes and the special effects crew showing us the amusement that goes on in the day.
The highlight of the featurettes is a guided tour of the house with Charlie Brooker where he starts off by insulting the cameraman (You PRICK!)and takes you around the house and making comments about shoddy craftmanship and what is real and what works inside.
Some of the features have subtitles with extra pieces of information added, explaining more information, which is good.
The interview with Davina McCall is entertaining. She`s talking as she`s having her zombie make-up applied and after it shows her filming some of her scenes.
Also very funny, is actor Andy Nyman(Severance) having his face cast and the set up of his death scene where he shows his uncanny ability to look exactly like an FX dummy head.Brilliant.
Overall i think the dvd has an exceptional array of extras and that if you like the show,it`s worth taking a look.I really enjoy watching the extras on dvd`s as it makes it value for money in my opinion.
I believe we should start a petition to get a second series.Based somewhere else in the world.
I hope i don`t piss anyone off with this. It`s just that i felt i agreed with xxsic when he noted that mike was reviewing the show and not the dvd itself.
take it easy everybody, and enjoy the dvd!

I didn't know there were 2 reviews in 1 thread. The 1st one is more of a capsule review which is OK and the bigger and better one is cool too.
