UHM Online Radio

I noticed a lot of people missed my announcement in Comments / Questions about UHM offering free streaming online radio now (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.). I figured what better way to get the word out than to post in GC about it. If you notice on the top navigational bar there's a Radio and TV option.

Currently you can only listen to radio, but if things go well I will offer streaming television as well. Anyway, if you click it you'll find a slew of music genres to choose from. If there's a specific genre of music or a station you want that you don't see up there then reply to this post or send me a PM. I will do my best to add it.

You can add stations in your favorites list that will give you easy access whenever you want to listen. Also, your favorites list and the last station you listened to will be listed in your profile. You may need to download a windows media player plug-in to play the stations, but otherwise, you shouldn't have any trouble streaming the music. If you run into trouble then reply or send me a PM.

I will be weeding out the unpopular stations a week from now, so only the ones people actually listen to will remain. Enjoy!

I found only two working punk stations. The others I found only worked with winamp, so I couldn't use'em. If anyone knows any local punk stations or whatever, I might be able to add those :hmmm:

I've removed some of the less popular stations (jazz and half of that elektronika junk). I'm still undecided on adding streaming TV for the time being. The bandwidth wasn't effected that much last month, but I want to see if it still remains steady this month before I know for sure whether implementing streaming TV should be added or not.

I used to love the names you were given depending on your post count...right under your user name. I think I was a zombie once and a vampire...maybe a werewolf...not sure. That was many years ago.

People still have ranks, but they just aren't able to see'em. They're unnecessary now since members can add their own custom user title now.

In the beginning custom titles were a mod that I had to add myself. In fact, much of what the board offers as standard now were all once mods.

I weeded out more of the unpopular stations. Mostly hip-hop stations and a few more eletronika stuff :starefreak:

It's hard to find good Metal stations, punk especially. Rock and alternative there's plenty of at the moment :shrugs:

See if you can find one that plays metal from all the decades.. from 70's on. This way someone like me doesnn't have to change stations every 1/2 an hour to get the best of both world's. Nice to have it all in one station.
