Caught funny games last night and it was horrible. Fuckin stupid and hella slow in parts. I mean it did have its moments like one of the villians getting blasted with the shotgun man did he fly, but then it was rewinded and im like huh? but they were few and far in between. After awhile i just wanted the family to die. They did a lot of retarted things. I see where they were trying to go in this film, but it just didnt work out for me. :negative:

Liked the original, haven't seen the remake. I hear the remake is pretty much the same flick shot-by-shot, which means they kept the same weirdness and arty stuff that makes it interesting and unique. It's true that it's really slow, but still interesting, for me anyway; you probably should've done more research on the flick before watching it.

Well i wanted to see it when it came out in theaters, but never got around to it. i knew it was a remake and what the storyline was about and read other peoples comments. That was pretty much it as far as research. I'll do better next time lol

 You're just lucky I don't have a comeback for that remark.

Not ragging on you for not liking the movie, as it is one that most people will definitely not like. Though if you couldn't get into it, that doesn't make it stupid.

Like alot of people say "Oh this movie is just a shot-by-shot remake" but the director originally wanted to do this movie in America but couldn't do it since funding fell through.

The movie is basically speaking about American society especially in Film.

I loved it, and thought it was really good and fucked with the audiences minds.

I must agree with the original poster. I just couldn't get into it. I tried, I even watched it a second time thinking maybe I missed somethine, but my distaste for this movie grew more.
I understand what it was aiming for, but I found it very BLAH.
I would give it a 4.5-5/10. Just not my movie, but I can see how it is a cult classic.

I liked the original. It might have moved slow for me, but it still held my interest. Interesting concept as well. Might see the original in the near future whenever I get the chance.

Some of the scenes dragged way way too long to the point of me fastfowarding, and some of the scenes were laughable. Had potential, good plot and solid solid acting. Just didn't get into it that much.

Saw the remake without knowing anything about it or the original, and I really liked it the first time I saw it. I finally got around to checking out the original and I think I like it even better, especially since the main bad guy is much better looking than Michael Pitt.

I do like the mild mindfuck it plays on the audience, although it's hard to appreciate a film that truly hates it's target audience.

I loved it personally, it drags on a bit during the middle but overall the beginning and the ending are classic.

Did anybody else feel that the recently released "The Strangers" got inspiration from this flick?
