Looks the part to me.

He seems a little too fair-featured to me. Like his face is still trying to join the rest of him in adulthood.

It's good enough that it will work if he performs well enough -- or if the director allows him to.

Plus the purple shirt. Major point loss for robbing Prince's wardrobe.

I guess I'm going to be a snob here. My brother loved Gambit from the beginning. He has the first appearance of Gambit hanging on his bedroom wall. I've read it, and got carried along into the fandom through the 90s.

Gambit's features are supposed to be pleasing to the ladies, but not in this extreme.

very cute face.

Gambit's supposed to be a guy, so who the hell is this chick? And why did she choose to dress in drag by wearing something in Prince's closet?

I mean, I'd rather cast Dakota freakin Fanning as Gambit over this guy.

Looks ok. I figured the first official picture of him would be in full costume, not him playing Go Fish. 20th Century Fox has shown us jack shit over the last few months. No trailer and now 4 official pics. Deadpool better be coming soon and he better look great.

Given how he's been drawn in the past, this guy doesn't seem too inordinately "pretty" to me.

What about this guy? Well, everyone looks a little rougher once Apocalypse gets involved...

Eh. I would prefer a more rugged Gambit but from a first pic I can't make a call this soon. I'll wait for a clip.

Still think Colin Farrell would've been a prime choice depending on how well he can fake a southern accent.

EDIT: Looking at the top pic, I can see Jackman is fucking ripped! He really loves playing Wolverine and I can tell. He's up for another movie as Logan, er James, er whatever where it would be a sequel to this movie, taking from this storyline-http://www.amazon.com/Wolverine-Claremont-Miller-Premiere-Classic/dp/0785123296- where it would take place in Japan and have a love story between him and a local resident. If that goes through, that would be the fifth movie he's portrayed Wolverine, passing Christopher Reeve for most times playing a live action superhero.

As long as he's got the cajun accent down, it might work.

If he doesn't say "T'vies guild," I'm gonna beat him silly.

None, but a high def trailer is coming on the 12th, and with the release of new Wolverine and the first Gambit pic, I suspect Deadpool is coming soon.

I figured out why I don't like the new Gambit art. He looks like Cyclops but more effeminate.

Which, considering the comparison to Cyclops, is really sad.

I like the older, more rugged Gambit better. The cartoon series coming out next month also looks like it will be closer to what I prefer. Hopefully the movie will keep it up.

It's still a shame the movie is following the girly Cyclops look I don't like in the new comics.

As long as they don't fuck up Deadpool, I'll be ok with this film (and pray for a Deadpool solo flick!)

As far as I'm concerned, Reynolds already played Deadpool.

I am not worried about his performance at all. And a Deadpool spin off is a possibility along with a Gambit one.

my friend kept on ranting on and on about how deadpool cant be in the movie and blah blah blah

since deadpools purpose in the comics was mostly for comicrelief, and he would often break the 4th Wall, and he was just there mainly for fun.

It's been ages since I've read any Deadpool comics (or any comics for that matter), but from what I remember, Deadpool only breaks "the fourth wall" in his own comics. He first appeared in X-Force if I remember correctly, but didn't completely turn into a full fledged "funny man" until wayyyy later in his career so to speak.
