Some years back UHM used to offer news on top of updates in the database, but I eventually found the work to be hard to keep up considering I not only had to post news, but go into the database and update each page as well. I decided to drop the news part and just post various updates in the database.
Years have passed and although the work has gotten easier, I'd still find myself fantasizing about bringing back the news section, because I'd often receive bits of information of horror-related stuff that I wouldn't normally be able to post in the database for one reason or another.
After a lot of brainstorming I've finally managed to come up with a way to bring the section back without the extra work I used to have to do. In the next day or two you'll see a lot of new threads in a new forum called 'Latest News' posted by myself, steelba, or slayer on various things in the genre.
Members can reply to posts in the section, but only the three of us can post new topics. The reason is because it's also serving as a news source, where all the new threads will be exported to a news page (and main page) of the site.
Just wanted to give you all a head's up now, so you won't be entirely lost when you see so many threads and a new forum pop up. I'll post the news link later when it's ready to go live :thumbup3:
