I've been reading the Drizzt Do'urden books by R.A. Salvatore. Now I'm only on The Crystal Shard so I've got a long way to go. But I was noticing when I do get to the Paths of Darkness series theres a book called Servents of the Shard. Should I skip that book in the series and just read it later, because it eventually starts it own series (sellsworlds). Or should I just go ahead and read it because if I don't I'll be lost? Any help would be appreciated.

Hells no don't skip it read it!! I did. Jarlaxle is such an interesting character. You can continue the sell swords once you are done with the rest....I would read servant you learn more about jarlaxle and his role in the books.

I really dug him in the Dark Elf trilogy, but he was only in it just enough to get you interested. He does seem like a very interesting guy.

My wife has a ton of these.

I never could get into it. Drizzt may have been one of the founding fantasy anti-heroes, but he also helped define a lot of the worst cliches as well.

Jarlaxe is an amazing character, and pairing him with the series best character ( Artemis Entrerie is amazing in itself. Don't skip it. It adds to the ongoinng storylines.
