Favorite Horror Anthology/Story?

Some of my favorite anthology film-wise include Cat's Eye, Nightmares, Campfire Tales (underated IMO), and def. Tales From the Hood.

But my favorite tale from any of them has to be The Raft from Creepshow 2, followed by KKK Comeuppance from Tales From the Hood.

The orignal "Tales from the Crypt", especially the killer Santa story and that really sad one with Peter Cushing.

I love anthologies, one of my fav horror subgenres...though it's not really a subgenre:hmmm: well whatever it is I like it.

All of the Creepshow tales hold a special place in my heart but probably The Raft and The Crate stand out the most...

Since this is in my bathroom I guess I'll just go with the crate.

The first story in From Beyond the Grave is sweet too, really creepy.

I had heard good things about Scream of a Winter's Night but I ended up being disappointed by that one.

The award for most violent/disturbing anthology I've seen def goes to The Burning Moon, catch the German Unedited version if you can...that is one messed up movie.

Vault of Horror was also decent, but try to find it in it's fully uncut format. I have Fox's lousy PG version that freeze-frames some of the gorier moments.

I haven't seen any of the Creepshows thought they looked kind of bleh...but from what you guys are saying, I should check it out.

Dude, that was the first horror movie I saw (like age 6) and it scared the hell out of me. Definitely a great horror movie. Other than that, who can go wrong with Tales From the Hood and Creepshow?

First 2 Creepshow "movies" are my favorites (3rd was a disppointment but mildly enjoyable), followed by a selected few from Twilight zone, Tales from the Crypt, and Tales from the Darkside...

Which reminds me, so happy Tales from the Darkside is hitting dvd in Feb. This thread reminded me to pre-order it. :bigthumbup:
