I'm speechless. The old fart is serious too.

Jeb's the only thing to make the current Bush's time-in-office look not-so-bad by comparison.

Can't picture many people other than the far right voting for Jeb seeing as now his last name alone is pretty much a death sentence. Not to mention I recall his work helping brother George win the 2000 election. I'm just amazed by this.

Sounds like a joke, I wonder if Americans have learned their lesson yet, or can we get another Bush in?

NO. If another Bush was EVER elected, I will lose total faith in mankind.

This is humorous.

Yeah, and while we're at it maybe the Red Sox should resign Manny Ramirez.

What a dumbass! Having Jeb as president would be like having the proverbial monkey's feces running the country!

The news isn't suprising. I did hear about this awhile back. I will agree with you that his last name will be his undoing; after we have already had 2 Bushes in office both with unsatisfactory terms in office. I will say that this country is smarter than putting a third Bush into the oval office

Senior sounded perfectly reasonable to me. He wasn't clamoring for anything and said he'd be just as happy if he retired to private life.

He pointed it out, himself: "you have to discount this, this is my son that I love."

On the whole, he ounded like any other father out there, really.

Terrible picture of Senior, quote with barely any context or substance around it.

Yeah. This is kind of one of those non-stories.

Good for you, G, for maintaining some self-control over a purely speculative comment.

Yeah. This is kind of one of those non-stories.

Absolutely. Designed to elicit the responses posted above. Stir a little partisanship.

Heh. If you like scotch, try the Balvenie Doublewood. :budsdrink:
It's a twelve-year-old, aged in an oak cask, then finished in a sherry cask. The finish in the sherry cask gives it a lot of character and complexity. Says so right on that there bottle...

Well, if the bottle says so...

Must be the same people writing all those wine reviews that say I should be tasting currants, vanilla, and dirt... :coolbeer:

What? No smoky finish? You've been at swill, my good man!

Heh. Seriously. Balvenie.

It would be fruitless to exchange the Whitehouse between the Clinton and Bush family. It seemed for a while that it would be that exact way things would shake out. Fortunately or unfortunately, it did not happen that way.

Granted you argue Obama but exchanging it between two of the highest if not the highest profile families would be counter productive IMO.

In an interview with Barb, right after W's grand theft election, she remarked that "it was supposed to be Jeb, not George." Meh, I'm not too worried after tha quagmire of the last eight years, especially since Jeb has stepped out of the running for senate in Florida.
