FUCK NO!!! No offense, an interesting idea, but Freddy needs to be a wormy little creep that has chomo written on his face. Now Billy Bob fits that look, and so would Bill Moseley, but Tony Todd is a BMF. Better role for the small and fast, not the big and slow. Although if they were to remake Dream Child, he'd be an interesting Super Freddy.

I would say Bill Mosely. That would be the shiznit. Billy Bob would do a good job too though but I'm not sure if the film company could afford his payroll.

Nah that dude it way too huge to be freddy, nice guy I saw him at a couple horror conventions and he always seems cool to his fans.

I honestly think it could work. As long as he is being re-imaged, getting someone of Todd's class and voice would add a nice touch to Freddy.

I'm a fan of Todd, but no no no no no. Course I can't picture anyone playing freddy other than englund. Multiple people can pull of Jason and Michael, but not freddy. I'm a little scared of this one, but yet curious too. Hell I thought Heath Ledger was a weird choice for Joker. And look how Brilliant that turned out.

Well, it seems like we're stuck with two facts.

The Nightmare on Elm Street reboot is happening.

Englund will not be Krueger.

Todd has a good creepy demeanor and experience in horror movies going back to 1990. Since we're already stuck with this happening, why not have someone who knows what he is doing?

Having him involved with the project would be a more definitive idea than Billy Bob but if they were to land Billy Bob they would gather more attention.

Tony Todd kicks ass, but I don't think he'd fit too well with Krueger. Krueger is one of those goofy type of killers, and after watching him play the serious Candyman, I can't really see him fitting in it too well.

I could see Johnny Depp as Freddy. He's versatile enough I believe. Not a bad choice considering he was in the first one. Regardless, there will always be only one Freddy for me.

I'm in Hartford.

I would prefer a dark serious NOES reboot rather than a campy Freddy. That's why Tony came to mind.

No way would I want to see Billy Bob playing Freddy.
Everytime I watch Demon Knight Billy Zane's character reminds me of Freddy,so I have always thought if they did a remake he would be my first choice for the part.

Do you think Tony would make an interesting Freddy? I bumped into him at my job (I work at a concert theatre). He was there for the Janet Jackson show. I started to ask him about Candy Man 4, but I didnt want to be rude. His mother still lives near us in CT.

i honestly dont think tony todd would be a good freddy kreuger...his body is too big for it...and freddy kreuger is more of a skinny type killer...so i would have to say no to tony as freddy

how funny cus i saw tony todd as a clown in one of the recent movies that was aired on BET called Night Tales
he was a clown, and he did a pretty good job with his character...
you guys should check it out...
