Any other video game nerds around here?
Here's what I have:
Atari 2600
Nintendo Entertainment System
Nintendo Entertainment System (Top Loader)
Super Nintendo Entertainment Sytem
Sega Genesis (Gen 2)
Sega 32X
Sega CD (Not working)
Sega Genesis (Gen 3)
Nintendo Gameboy (it's the GF's)
Nintendo Gameboy Pocket
Nintendo Gameboy Advance
Nintendo Virtua Boy
Sony Playstation
Sony Playstation (PS1)
Sega Saturn (with mod cart for imports)
Nintendo 64
Sega Dreamcast
Nintendo Game Cube
Microsoft Xbox (fully modded with hard drive and goodies)
Nintendo Wii
Microsoft Xbox 360
Playstation 3
and my personal fav:
Neo-Geo AES system (fully modded with component video and stereo)
Systems I'm looking to get:
Intellevision (If i can ever get my uncle to part with it)
Sega Master System
Turbo Grafix 16 with a Turbo Duo CD drive
Atari Jaguar
Not much of a collector. Pretty much been a Nintendo 4 lifer.
Nintendo
Super Nintendo
Nintendo 64
Gamecube
Wii
The only non related Nintendo console I had was Sega Genesis (Gen 2).
Also fuck handhelds, there are too many and their all boring with added extras to rake in more mucho deniro.
On a sidenote, I don't mind the Wiimote but Nintendo better make all their games on a new system backwards compatible with some sort of regular/classic controller because some games just are not meant to be played by using swinging motions.
All that will likely change though as I will either pickup a PS3 or XBOX360 for RE5 even though I bet down the road they port it to Wii or Wii 2 with inferior graphics but different extras much like they did vice versa for RE4 on PS2.
i have a super nintendo and a ps3

that's cool redbath, I'm a nintendo fan myself.
Most Wii games have different control setups that allow you to use the GC controlers or the Wii classic controler, so not all require motion controls. Nintendo seems so far to bee good with backwards compatible stuff and solutions I hope the cary through with their next system.
It is doubtfull that you will se RE5 on the wii, just not enough power to build and process the sprawling environments and multiple characters that is has. The game seems much more vast than RE4 based on the demo I have.

Sega Genesis (G2)

Game Cube
X Box 360
Damn Atari Jaguar was sweet. I remember playing Double Dragon part five at a convention. I was surprised it didn't take off. That is quite the collection you have their Strt.

Unfortunetly the Jaguar was doomed to fail from the begining. They marketed it as a 64 bit system when it preformed like a high-end 16bit system. It was Atari's last stab at the hardware market and they knew they could not maintain without hitting a grand slam...unfortunetly the Jaguar was a foul ball that cost them the game.
It's still a cool part of game history and I'd like to get my hands on one.
Thanks, I just never sold any of my systems and after highschool it became a hobby.

Nice ipodgrl... Rock Band ladies are few and far between. I'm glad my gf is one. However, I fear RB will be the death of me. My tab arm has been fucked up after taking on Metallica's Battery on RB2 (multiple times, and by the end, my fingers just wouldn't work.) That song on hard is like expert, and expert is a whole new vision of thrashing hell. It makes the Metallica songs on RB pale in comparrison.

Battery isn't bad I can beat it no prob on expert guitar, try Visions on Expert Guitar...that's a tough one

Damn... I was on my third try, and then my fingers just stopped listening. I had been playing straight through for a few hours, so I was at the point it was time to stop. When I got up for work yesterday, my arm was fucked so I am taking a brief hiatus. I am not looking forward to Visions, but thanks for the head's up Strt.

Yeah I like Let there be Rock, there is a live version on the AC/DC track pack that kicks the original's ass IMO.
What's you instrument(s)?
I play Expert Guitar/bass
Hard/Expert Drums (cant play the real difficult songs on expert)
Total failure on Vocals (but I still like to emberas myself with some Rob Halford impressions)

I love the the L7 Song, and the one by that Handsome Devil is pretty sweet as well
I play the following
Hard/Expert Guitar/Bass (interchangable for both)
Medium Drums (the foot eye coordination messes with me)
Expert Vocals

Why do you want a Japanese 360? Are there some good Jap 360 games not in the US?
Amen on that TG-16 with the cd..my old roommate had one, we used to be up till 3am rocking that thing out...I should have stolen it.
The Saturn RULES, they are pretty plentiful on ebay and you can get one of the import carts that adds the extra RAM for the later fighting games as well as adds the ability to play any region.
I made my own MAME cabinet, made a custom arcade stick out of PC USB controllers, had a couple thousand games. I eventually tossed the cabinet but backed up the games onto some hard drive somewhere.

Nice its that simple for the Saturn aye? Yeah the TG-16/CD has some cool games, I'm better off getting a Japanese one though unless its region free :D. The reason I want a J-360 is because they're getting a bunch of SHMUPS that the US will probably never get Raiden IV, Raiden Fighters Aces, Death Smiles, DoDonpachi, Ketsui....Nice about the MAME cabinet, you still have the stick? I'm trying to mod one right now using a Dualshock 1 PCB, gonna buy all Sanwa parts :rocker:

hmmm, I think i tossed the wooden box but it still have the rewired controllers and the buttons. Big part of the arcade stick is to get a quality 8 way joystick. I am big into fighters but especially SHUMPS you need tight precise controls. When making your own all you need it to be decent at soldering...I suck at it but still got a perfectly working stick (after a few tries)
You ever look into the NEOGEO? They have some great shooters and the system and carts can be insane collectors items. It's not uncommon for a rare neo-geo AES cart in good condition to sell for $600-1000

Nice, yeah I was gonna buy a octagonal plate, soldering seems like the hard part but I did mess with welding in sculpture :D . Yeah I wouldn't mind having a NEO GEO, some good shooters for sure. Thats some crazy prices

I also forgot to mention his Neo Geo Pocket. That little thing was excellent for the time it was released.

sweet...now I want one
Ha gamestop nerd!! Just kidding, my buddy used to work at an electronics boutique back in the day, he always let me know if any good trades came in, except that rare Saturn version of Symphony of the night that jerk swiped for himself.
People give away old video game stuff all the time, I was playing my Atari in college and a friend of a friend walked in and offered all his games for a 6 pack...I got like 30 games the next day and he got the bud mud.

my mom still has my nes with the little robot guy and 2 atari 2600's in one of her closets at home and the pong system as well... i should get them but they lost the key to the padlock that is keeping that door closed. here i have the second run of the psones (the smaller version) both ps2's (the big ones when the first came out and the slim), a game cube, an x box and a 360. still play with all of them (cept for the big ps2, it wont read half the games anymore).
would love to get my hands on a super nintendo and a n64 tho. we sold our n64 at a rummage and i was like bye bye golden eye... i loved that friggin game.
and to the rock band/ guitar hero players: just got a double kicker for my drums and the old man is getting the ion drum set just in time for the metallica game to come out. cant wait
