Anime's you wish they didn't end

What sucks worst with an Anime series finally then when they end it with you wondering what happened to certain characters? Worse is when it leaves open potential for it to continue but they never do.

We never knew if Spike at the end of Cowboy Bebop just passed out or if he died. We never knew if Gene Starwind in Outlaw Star managed to pay off his debts and make it big. We never found out if Robin and Amone are doing ok in Witch Hunter Robin.

So it's simple, list Animes you wish they didn't just end it where they did and not continue.

Cowboy Bebop.
Outlaw Star.
Witch Hunter Robin.
Big O.
Hellsing.
Eureka 7.

I was never satisfied with the ending to Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai..

And Death Note... Wow! I didn't know how to feel about the ending.. I was left speechless.

I wish Claymore would of kept going.. hoping for a second season..

That's the great thing about anime. They do end. The american cartoons from my youth didn't have an ending or really an overall goal.

Touchy subject... I would love to see a few extra entries added to a few anime I enjoy, but at the same time I see all to often what happens when an anime goes on longer than it should have, Inuyasha for example. Nothing against Inuyasha, I own all 6 seasons and the movies, but too many filler episodes. Much rather leave Cowboy Bebop as is than risk additions that would take more than they give.


Then again, perhaps the short anime with open-ended points would be better going the Futurama path. A movie or two to tie up loose points and give closure... granted not 4 movies like Futurama.

Afro Samurai was far to short even with the possibility of a
continuation towards the end. However it would be intresting to do a prequel with Afro's Father and Justice and how they came to be enemies as well as justice's mutation.

Aww, it was kinda good, aside from the talking and debating durring fights. And the last 3 min or so. I kinda wish they'd restart it from where they left off and catch up with the manga.

Elfen Lied shouldnt have ended so soon.
