View Full Version : Monster in sewer... and it's not C.H.U.D

Hey people
remembered watching this in the 80s, and the flick is about some sort of monster/creature living in the sewers coming up to the ground level to kill people off. Think it used its pointy tongue most of the time.

A key scene that stuck with me is one with two guys doing some work down in the sewers. with one guy killed off, the other one is scared crazy and rushes to get up form there. When thinking he's ok, the creature bangs lid of the sewer off and drags him by the leg down into the hole again..

any ideas?

I know you said 80's, but are you thinking of Mimic? I recall a scene in that flick that is remarkably the same.

Nah, it's not Mimic.. nad not The Blob either. Haven't heard of Slugs before, so it doesn't ring any bells. I think the creature is some lifeform that feeds on humans and was some sort of experiment gone wrong. It gets killed off in the end by tons of stuff falling down on it in the sewer.

I'm pretty sure i've seen it, and i'm gonna get really old school here and guess it's 'The Being' or 'Scared to Death'. Both of which i've seen but can't remember :ahheh:

YEEEES! It's "Scared To Death"! I remember that now because the Swedish (which is where I come from) translation is the equivalent of that.

Cool looking monster, terrible movie... the sequel, Syngenor, is only slightly better...
