Older zombie movie (made for TV maybe?)

Ok, so I've been trying to track this sucker down for YEARS and I can't remember the title to save my ass. I asked here among many other horror sites, and have never gotten an answer. I figured I'd ask again just to see if anybody knows this one.

I'm not sure how old it is, but I first saw it back in the early 90's on TV. I'm not sure if it was made for TV or even an episode from some horror TV show.

From what I remember, the plot features a couple driving down a remote road. They take a wrong turn, go through some wooded area, and then in a huge cloud of mist.

Emerging from the mist is a really old "abandoned" town. Turns out however, there are a few people still in the town. Of course, these people are actually zombies/ghosts/whatever, and try to kill the couple. More zombie ghosts come out of the ground and chase them as well.

The couple escapes by getting back through the mist that envelopes the town.

...so, any ideas???

Cuz then it would be hardrock zombies.

Otherwise, not really the same time period but Death Valley: The Revenge of Bloody Bill has people going through some mist into a zombie town I think...been a while since I watched it.

Could it possibly be Lucio Fulci's Gates of Hell - circa 1980 (also titled City of the Living Dead)?

Did it start with a priest hanging himself and were there subsequent scenes of people bleeding from the eyes and vomiting their own entrails? If the answer is yes, then it's Gates of Hell. The fog rang a bell, but I'm not sure. Bad dubbing, obvious Italian craftmanship (a la House By The Cemetery), that sort of thing.

no cant be death valley, that is new and only came out in the past two years or so. and not city of the dead... the mist was only in the end. i am at a blank here...
