I was critical of the idea of Caroline Kennedy being selected to replace Hillary Clinton in the Senate because I did not think she was qualified and I thought there were better candidates available. I did not want to see her selected based on her name and wealth.
However, it seems that since she has dropped out, a source in the NY Govenor's office has leaked some information that Ms. Kennedy had tax problems and potentially maritial problems which led to her departure.
This is unnecesary and slimy. She dropped out, no need to pile on or attempt to damage her reputation.
